How can we support the next generation of engineers? By encouraging forward-thinking research, providing access to shipbuilding facilities, and connecting them with the right people. That is why we are proud to announce a new programme to support the engineers committed to shaping a more sustainable future. Introducing the Lürssen Foundation’s funded six-month scholarship programme that will provide hands-on experience in our shipyards, our research centre in Croatia, and the University of Connecticut, where participants will further develop their projects during a one-month summer school. They will also collaborate on cutting-edge research projects under the expert guidance of industry professionals. “Through the Lürssen Foundation, we are mentoring engineers equipped to lead responsible change and digital transformation in the maritime industry while driving societal progress toward a more sustainable future,” says Peter Lürssen. The Lürssen Foundation is not only funding scholarships but also exploring partnerships with organisations and startups that are addressing environmental challenges, improving local development, and championing social responsibility. The second year of the Artistry & Craft Awards 2025 by BOAT International Media, we are delighted that all the winning pieces were onboard Kismet. Congratulations to Reymond Langton Design, the interior designer who commissioned and collaborated with these talented artisans. Excellence in Craftsmanship: Céline Alexandre Céline Alexandre crafted Kismet's beauty room panels, drawing inspiration from haute couture and a "flight of ginkgo leaves." The studio dedicated 400 hours to painting, varnishing, and intricate gold leaf engraving. Outstanding Collaborative Creation: Silverlining Furniture Silverlining Furniture designed Kismet's marquetry panels, achieving a sense of "movement and tranquility" through gold accents set against a deep black backdrop. Emerging Artisan of the Year: Poppy Pawsey Poppy Pawsey joined Silverlining Furniture in 2023 after a medical discharge from the Royal Marines Military Band. In just 18 months, she mastered marquetry. For her first solo project, she created a games table with interchangeable chess and backgammon boards onboard Kismet, combining five veneers and decorating it with an intricate butterfly and ginkgo leaf design. Judges’ Commendation: Eva Mechler - Master Furniture Maker Eva Mechler, a designer and master furniture maker, crafts sustainable pieces from wood offcuts. Collaborating with Wolz Nautic, she incorporates Tesumo, a teak alternative developed with Lürssen. Her Fox lounge chair was handcrafted using traditional techniques, with some tools inherited from her grandfather. Judges’ Commendation: Sabina Fay Braxton Sabina Fay Braxton created Kismet's master bedroom headboard using a technique honed while working with top fashion houses. Blending medieval gaufrage embossing, artistic painting, and embroidery, she crafted the piece over 10 weeks. The art is truly in the detail—congrats to all the winners!

Two-time winner at the 2025 BOAT Design & Innovation Awards – KISMET We’re proud to have received the awards for KISMET last night, winning in two categories: Outstanding Lifestyle Feature and Outstanding Exterior Design – Motor Yachts 70m & Over. She made her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show S.A.M., showcasing exterior design by NUVOLARI LENARD and interior design by Reymond Langton Design. Now available for charter with Cecil Wright. Congratulations to everyone involved, and thank you to the BOAT International Media judges for this honor!

We look forward to celebrating with industry colleagues and friends at the ceremony—and embracing the competitive spirit on the slopes during the SKI Cup at the BOAT International Media Superyacht Design Festival.

90m NORN - #JanuaryCalendar Geometry played a central role in the design of NORN. Her exterior is defined by large, flat surfaces, straight lines, and angular corners, creating a truly unique aesthetic. The interior spaces echo these design themes, with features including an outdoor cinema, a swimming pool that can be raised or lowered, and an illuminated dance floor.
