𝗣𝗧𝗖𝗥 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 – 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗧𝗖𝗥 To accurately determine the shrinkage of a Process Temperature Control Ring (PTCR), consistent and precise measurements are essential. To assist with this, we provide a digital micrometer with a holder specifically designed for PTCRs, along with a USB interface for easy data transmission. The custom-developed holder ensures reliable and reproducible positioning of the PTCR during measurement. For simple data transfer of the recorded values, an optional USB cable with an integrated button is available. It is particularly long-lived and corresponds to the industrial standard. The electric heating elements permit application temperatures of up to 1.750 °C. At more than 1.000 °C, the surface of the heating elements will form a protective layer of pure SiO2. For insulation materials, we differentiate between classification temperature and application temperature 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 The classification temperature is defined as the temperature at which a product exhibits a certain linear shrinkage after 24 hours of heat application in an electrically heated laboratory #furnace under an oxidizing atmosphere. Depending on the type of product, the values vary from 2% in #insulation boards and shapes to 4% in needled blankets. The classification temperature is indicated in increments of 50°C. In contrast to insulation products made from amorphous fibres (ASW/RCF), products made from polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) can be used permanently up to the indicated classification temperature. For ASW/RCF, the permanent application temperature is approximately 100°C to 150°C below the indicated classification temperature. 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 The term 'application temperature' is often replaced by 'furnace temperature' or 'operating temperature' in practice. The application temperature refers to the temperature at which our products, components, and systems can be operated continuously, taking into account operational influences.
