Klima? Sehen wir positiv. Wir bei Mangelberger haben im Jahr 2022 erstmals unseren Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) erstellt. Um damit unsere Erkenntnisse im Jahr 2023 zu referenzieren. Mit dem Ziel, als Unternehmen bis zum Ende des Jahres 2024 CO₂-neutral (Scope 3) zu sein. Ergänzend haben wir damit begonnen, alle Rohstoff- und Recyclingdaten unserer Schaltanlagen zu strukturieren. Um den Impact unserer zirkulären Maßnahmen gegenüber herkömmlichen Recyclingaktivitäten zu bewerten. Um richtungsweisende Maßnahmen einzuleiten, um ein außergewöhnliches Ziel zu erreichen: unsere Schaltanlagen in naher Zukunft klima-positiv zu fertigen. We finished a project, now what? In addition to the knowledge🧠 and technical progress🦾 we gain from our projects, there is another perspective. Our RoMaFo project is a prime example. It can now be used as a basis for the current ARKIDES research project. The RoMaFo project tests image recognition that is not specifically designed for components in Mangelberger switchgear. For example, fuses on DIN rails and their width are recognized. This is important preliminary work that provides the employees involved with the necessary prior knowledge for the complete development of ARKIDES. #research #romafo #arkides #development #automation

On April 19, we participated in the #NachtderAusbildung in Roth. 🌃 We engaged in a productive exchange with both prospective employees and those who have already established themselves in professional life.   We recognized that the attendees were very interested in the intersection of Mangelberger Elektrotechnik GmbH and the field of research and development. 🔬   Our expert employees facilitated an informative evening, during which we presented our apprenticeships and research projects, and discussed their content and importance.   This enabled us to create greater awareness for our work with university supervisors and other companies.   We keep on moving! 💨 #research #development #AI #awareness #maschinelearning

What does facial recognition on your cell phone have to do with our ARKIDES project? The camera on your cell phone scans certain points on your face to recognize that it is you. Our high-tech cameras, specially developed by Lehrstuhl FAPS, the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg chair, scan the finest details of our control cabinet components instead of a face. The ultimate goal? Flawless recognition without deviation, be it a switch, a fuse, a DIN rail or any other component. Thank you for your input on this project.

After creating the Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) for our company, the next step will be the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF). In contrast to the CCF, the product is considered in five phases of its life cycle. 1️⃣ raw material extraction 2️⃣ production 3️⃣ distribution and storage 4️⃣ use 5️⃣ disposal/recycling These steps often vary depending on whether the data is recorded until the product leaves the company (cradle to gate) or until the end of its use (cradle to grave).

Taking work into everyday life can also be positive.   Manuela Löser accompanied the Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) certification project for months. In conclusion, she can say that the time and resources invested in the project were absolutely worth it. Na, dann wollen wir mal rechnen: durchschnittlich 54 Abstandshalter je Schaltschrank, multipliziert mal 25 Sekunden „Human Work“ je Halter, multipliziert mal 5 Schaltschränke mit diesen Haltern je Tag. Das sind in Summe 50.000 Abstandshalter und jährlich 350 Mitarbeiterstunden für deren Montage. Seit Anfang März werden diese Abstandshalter bei Mangelberger automatisiert montiert. What’s the most widely used process word wide? Some say it’s LEED  It stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It determines the ecological degree of a building in sight of all components. ISO 50001    is a certification for the energy management of companies. It requires that energy efficiency is improved by optimizing resources. The aim is to minimize environmental impacts such as CO2 emissions in a business context.   Both of these zertifications are inclusive with our Mangelberger switch carbinets.
