I’m excited to announce that Merantix has entered into a new long-term strategic partnership with KPMG, anchored by their investment in our Merantix Capital fund. The partnership will also see us working on projects across our entire group. KPMG will team with our portfolio ventures, work with our AI solutions business Merantix Momentum, and join us in a series of community initiatives here on the Merantix AI Campus and as well as the AI House Davos initiative. For us, this new partnership really embodies a wider initiative at Merantix Capital to bridge the gap between startups and established companies. What I think we bring to the table, when working with corporate LPs, is offering early visibility into the most innovative AI startups, whether that’s early-stage product assessment, strategic investment opportunities, and even future potential acquisition prospects upon venture maturation. The opportunity to see and shape a startup’s progress from such an early stage and gain first access to the latest product development is so crucial, and we believe that has never been more urgent in the European environment.  As seasoned AI investors with a robust AI community, we see ourselves as trying to build a “trust bridge” between startups and traditional industry players. Why Europe needs AI to solve the looming labor crisis. By 2030, up to 375 million workers will need to learn new skills or transition to entirely different roles. Traditional training methods are falling short—without AI that will never happen. AI education in the business context offers personalized and scalable training solutions, improving productivity and employee retention. From immersive VR simulations to adaptive learning platforms, there is huge potential already being realized. For my latest edition of “AI Reality Bites,” I dove into the AI B2B education space, highlighting some examples from inside and outside of our portfolio (Company Shield, Pixaera, Deltia). Her examples demonstrated how tools like ChatGPT streamline processes, allowing teams to focus on creativity and strategy. 🎨 Samuel Tschepe: Highlighted how AI democratizes design thinking by empowering non-designers to conceptualize ideas and prototype effectively. He emphasized the importance of blending AI-powered ideation with human-centered creativity to maintain depth and empathy in solutions. ⏩ Luisa-Marie Schmolke: Revealed how the Ergo Innovation Lab reduced design sprints from 5 days to just 2 without compromising quality by leveraging AI for tasks like synthetic persona creation and accelerated prototyping. Her practical examples showed how AI-assisted sprints drive innovation in corporate environments. 🌐 Zamina Ahmad: Brought an interesting perspective on AI ethics and human-centricity. She discussed the balance between leveraging AI for efficiency and maintaining accountability and purpose in design processes, ensuring we continue to focus on delivering real value.
