📢 Exciting News for Cancer Patients! We are thrilled to share the results of our recent randomized controlled trial conducted with the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg. Published in April 2024, our app, previously referred to as SOFIA, has shown promising results in helping cancer patients manage immunotherapy symptoms. Key Findings: ✅ 91% adherence in symptom monitoring—91% of patients tracked their symptoms twice a week after 3 months ✅ 1/3 of physicians found Mika useful in preventing and averting treatment disruptions ✅ High feasibility and acceptance among patients ✅ Significant improvements in health-related quality of life ✅ Reduced depression, distress, and appetite loss ✅ Better role functioning This study highlights the importance of digital health interventions in providing timely support and improving the overall well-being of cancer patients. Today we want to shine a light on our esteemed partner, the Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf. We had the honor of representing our digital therapeutic at the 3rd Annual Oncology Nursing Congress on June 15, 2024. 🌟 This congress aimed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge among oncology nurses within the Joint Cancer Center of the University Hospitals in Aachen, Bonn, Cologne, and Düsseldorf (Centrum für Integrierte Onkologie/CIO ABCD).👩⚕️ 👨⚕️ Key objectives included networking, knowledge dissemination, standardizing care guidelines, and developing collaborative projects. The event featured an interesting program with a focus on the theme of "speechlessness." 🗣️ Our team had a fantastic time engaging with the nursing community, reconnecting with familiar faces, and meeting new ones. Events like these are important to us because nurses play a vital role in the cancer treatment pathway, especially in integrating the Mika-App. 💡 Here’s a glimpse into what a day at the nursing congress looks like. 📸✨ Thanks Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf for this fantastic collaboration!
