MiKK Ongoing Training in Osaka, Japan 🎉 Im the first weekend of February, 22 participants from Japan successfully completed MiKK's Training in Osaka, Japan, on the topic “The Voice of the Child in Cross-Border Family Mediation”. The training was conducted face-to-face at the University of Osaka by MiKK Trainer Dr. Lesley Allport , who was supported online by Dr. Eva Schwittek 🌏✨ And a great, warm thank you to Prof Mari Nagata, MiKK Ambassador for Japan, and to Osaka University for hosting MiKK e.V. Happy to share that the Board of Directors of MiKK e.V. International Mediation Centre for Family Conflict and Child Abduction with the two newly elected members Jamie Walker and Ana Piernas López has elected a new first and second chair after the sad and unexpected passing of our dearly beloved former first chair Isabel Fernandez de Costillejo y Peetsch. The statutory management board of MiKK e.V. International Mediation Centre for Family Conflict and Child Abduction now consists of Jamie Walker as second chair, Gert Nilsson Eldrimner as deputy and me as first chair. We along with all the members of the board are looking forward to working together with our amazing office staff members Ischtar Khalaf-Newsome, Magdalena Jańczuk, Blanka Dr. Illés, Kerstin Depenbrock and Elina Lauterbach to promote family mediation and provide multi-lingual and free-of-charge support, advice and referrals to mediation for international/bi-cultural parents and families as well as information, training and consultation to mediators, judges, lawyers, social services and consular representatives in accordance with Mikk's vision as a non-profit organisation.
