Work anniversary tradition 🖤 Since four years Laura Kennedy (VP HR), Leonard Meier (Head of Business Development) and Nora Goette (Lead PR & Comms) have a little tradition – they take a photo together on their anniversary day showing the amount of years they have been with MILES. 2023 even with a special guest. We hope this tradition will last for many more years! Here are three fun facts about them: 😂 One of them has the most catching laugh. 💬 One of them knows the latest gossip before it even exists. 🤌 One of them has a talent for wrapping everyone around their finger.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗘𝗩 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 – 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 MILES has been offering electric vehicles for a while now. However, we often get asked why our fleet doesn't have more EVs. EVs cost more to buy and maintain. They spend more time off the road for charging compared to quick fuel stops. While many of our customers are happy to refuel petrol cars, fewer are comfortable with charging. This means more work for our team. But we're not sitting still. We've partnered with Plugsurfing to give our drivers access to 147,000 charging points across Germany. 🚀 It's an important step toward making electric carsharing simpler and more reliable - both for our customers and for us.

We couldn’t agree more. 🙏 Climate researchers from GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences are calling for a shift away from private car ownership – towards more carsharing and cycling. Potsdamer Neueste Nachrichten | Verlag Der Tagesspiegel Unlike what many assume: Carsharing is not a replacement for public transport or bikes but an addition. It allows people to stay flexible and mobile without owning a car.

During a recent visit from Technische Universität Berlin students to our HQ, we asked them for their thoughts on carsharing and sustainability. 📊 The result: While many were uncertain about its ecological impact, over 2/3 agreed that carsharing is socially sustainable. We didn't expect that. But this mix of perspectives reminds us of the importance of ongoing research into the effects of carsharing, as well as the need for education and a clear communication. We are already working on something – with Kathrin Karola Viergutz as project lead. 👀 More soon.
