𝐈𝐅𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 – 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 On the occasion of the IFA's centenary trade show in Berlin, the innovation giant revamped their corporate identity. In collaboration with Ole Tillmann, we conceptualized and produced the "100 Years Celebration Film" which opened the gala ceremony and daily panel talks. Building on this theme, we created a stellar suite of motion design for three stages, designed by UNDPLUS, with multiple LED arrangements and a vibrant new sonic identity. We were responsible for the media design and operation of three stages in which industry stars representing heavyweight brands such as MediaMarkt, HONOR and media group Handelsblatt presented keynotes in quick-fire and deep-dive formats. To elevate the live brand presentations, we created an extensive suite of motion & sound packaging, such as: intros, outros, lower thirds, transitions, background loops, schedules and countdown. We oversaw all of the camera operations and content which was delivered to producers via our media server and streamed as a live broadcast. 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥: 𝐀𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Together with Sunst Studio, we engineered a football exhibition at Nike's flagship store in Berlin to coincide with the UEFA European Championship. We programmed and installed an interactive football trials cage where participants selected one of three football boots to kickstart a competitive activation experience. The game attracted over 1,500 players with many returning to try and topple the leader board to win a pair of shoes. Our entirely custom-made backend engine based on a TouchDesigner integrated playback system enabled the interactivity between the motion, UX/UI and the sound design. By adapting one of the toolkits from our immersive instruments software and hardware solutions range, participants register to play for each of the three games via a graphical interface and view their final position on the leader board screens. 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 Five industry standard LiDAR sensors inside the cage track the movement of the player. An LED strip maps the bottom of the cage to highlight where the ball should target and visual messaging shows the player's progress. 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 A cinematic musical tension begins, ends, and builds with each chapter. The tempo also increases as each game level is passed. Dynamic sound effects respond to the lights and communicate when the player loses or gains points. The sound design responds to the emotions associated with competitive sports and incorporates the ambiences from the sound of the player’s breath to the crowds’ cheering at football stadiums. This focussed on the IFA tagline “Innovation For All” and the technological milestones that have been presented there over the past 10 years, beginning with the first radio broadcast. Further to this, we were responsible for all camera operations, the live broadcast, the streaming services and the entire sonic identity. The exhibition was attended by Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Governing Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner and a host of industry stars. This was part of an ambitious and fantastic collaboration with UNDPLUS®, Guido Heinz Frinken OFF Setdesign, Aura Engineering, Angelika Howland and QT Marketing.
