Multipass spectral broadening and compression from n2-Photonics going strong with Pharos-UP laser from Light Conversion. We reliably get 8 fs pulses in a single stage.

In a new work from my group published in Applied Physics Letters, we demonstrate carrier-envelope phase stability in 40 fs pulses produced by compressing the output of a Yb:KGW solid-state amplifier using a multi-pass cell (MPC). The work paves the way to waveform-controlled few-cycle driving lasers for attosecond science based on turn-key commercial technologies. Here is a short description of how to set up the camera from IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH and make it a usable laser beam profiler. The video tutorial on the software will follow. The C mount to SM1 adapter is SM1A9 from Thorlabs. The filter can also be found on Thorlabs.

We created those small integrating spheres as a conference giveaways. They diffuse near-infrared light very well and help to prevent interferences when coupling the light into the fiber. Don't send more than 1 W, it's plastic!
