𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞... Together with our customer wienerberger Österreich, we recently launched the world's largest industrial electric kiln for heavy clay ceramics. This high-efficiency kiln is nothing less than a milestone. 100% electric – in the heavy clay industry, this is (still!) the exception. The kiln is powered by green electricity, generated in part by the PV system on the roof of the plant. wienerberger is testing innovative technologies at the demo site in Uttendorf (Austria). The high-efficiency kiln is one of them. It has a capacity of 300 tons per day. 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: 🔹 intelligent air flow ensures optimum heat distribution 🔹 precise temperature control and regulation thanks to fully electric heating 🔹 reduced ratio of kiln furniture to products 🔹 relatively small production area required 🔹 nice to know: 80,000 refractory bricks are installed in the kiln. 170 tons of steel were used for the kiln housing and airlocks. We worked with wienerberger on the high-efficiency kiln for four years. 15 colleagues from our team were involved, at times there were 20 on the construction site in Uttendorf. “The High-Efficiency Kiln is a future-oriented product with great potential,” says our Vice President Simon Schurr. With this in mind, we are convinced that the future of industrial kilns is electric, powered by green electricity. Verliehen wird das Label von der SüdniedersachsenStiftung und der IHK Hannover. Beiden Einrichtungen sowie allen an der Initiative Beteiligten möchten wir an dieser Stelle ganz herzlich danken! 👉 Was ist TOPAS? Für das Zertifikat ist es notwendig, individuelle Ziele zur strategischen Arbeitgebermarkenbildung zu erarbeiten, sie mit konkreten Maßnahmen zu unterlegen und im Betrieb zu etablieren. Eines unserer Ziele ist zum Beispiel ein internes Führungskräfteentwicklungsprogramm, dessen Konzeption bereits erste Ergebnisse brachte. Zudem gilt es, Standards in den Bereichen Personalführung, Chancengleichheit und Diversität, Gesundheit, Lohn und Gehalt sowieso Wissen und Kompetenz nachzuweisen. 👉 Unser Ziel ist klar! Wir wollen die im Rahmen von TOPAS abgestimmten Maßnahmen mit Leben füllen, in die Praxis überführen, überprüfen und bei Bedarf überarbeiten. Bachelor of Graphic Design 👩🎓 Our colleague Elina has officially made it – she now has her bachelor's degree in graphic design. Congratulations, dear Elina! Over a period of three years, Elina gained valuable practical experience at our company alongside the theoretical part at IU - International University. “It's the perfect alternative to an apprenticeship. In a normal course of study, you only get your first work experience through internships. In a dual study program, on the other hand, practical experience is normal right from the start,” says the recent graduate. Elina received a basket with delicious snacks as a gift from her team. She will stay with our company and continue to put her skills into action in our marketing department! He doesn't really like big gatherings like this, but on this occasion it just had to be. Our dear colleague Raymond Berger retired after almost 23.5 years with the company! It was a solemn and emotional departure – a tear or two were inevitable. Together with the team, the electric design engineer looked back on many wonderful experiences. The farewell was livened up by anecdotes from Raymond's professional chapter here at ONEJOON. We are glad that this chapter is not quite over yet. Raymond will be with us as a consultant until the end of 2025. “𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫” Recently, The Korea Economic Daily published an article about our mother company ONEJOON Korea. The article underpins the importance of heat treatment for a broad range of advanced materials – from batteries to carbon fiber and beyond. 🔋 CEO Sung Je LEE explained that ONEJOON heat treatment equipment allows customers to produce materials with desired features by chemically reacting the raw materials with heat and gas. The reporter was puzzled. So Lee used an example everyone can relate to: “In a word, it’s like a rice cooker. If you put rice in a rice cooker and apply certain temperature and pressure conditions, you can get the rice you want, and the heat treatment equipment is what makes this possible.” 🔥 One of our most popular “rice cookers” is our Roller Hearth Kiln for continuous heat treatment of cathode material. Of course, the raw materials and their composition processed here are far more complex than a rice grain. Getting a product ready for the market in terms of quality and producing it on a large scale is key in the field of battery materials.
