Well known for the high quality of its products, PI (Physik Instrumente) has been one of the leading players in the global market for precision positioning technology for many years. PI has been developing and manufacturing standard and OEM products with piezo or motor drives for more than 40 years with one result of 200 technology patents. PI is a privately owned company with healthy growth, more than 1000 employees worldwide and a flexible, vertically integrated organization. In addition to four locations in Germany, the PI Group is represented internationally by fifteen sales and service subsidiaries. By acquiring the majority shares in ACS Motion Control, a worldwide leading developer and manufacturer of modular motion controllers for multi-axis and high-precision drive systems in 2016, PI has made a major step forward in providing complete systems for industrial applications with the highest demand on precision and dynamics.     PI Expands Electronics Manufacturing in Rosenheim to Boost Capacity and Efficiency 📍 Rosenheim, Germany, Nov. 12, 2024 Physik Instrumente (PI) has expanded its electronics production  in Rosenheim, adding 600 m² to bring the total floorspace to 2,100 m². This 2.2 million euro investment provides the following benefits: 🔹 Improved ergonomics through height-adjustable, well-lit workbenches, optimized climate control, and separated zones for noise and temperature management  🔹 Higher production capacity to support future growth.  🔹 Shorter production cycles enabled by advanced logistics and new production technology Dr. Axel Widenhorn, SVP Operations at PI, highlights the efficiency gains as essential for PI’s continued success in global markets.
