𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 - 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 This is a statement worth dissecting! 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐅𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 Fixing implies something is broken. Right. But what does "broken" even mean when it comes to humans and their souls? And who is the judge of that? Difficult questions. And anyways, is it not a far more hopeful message to think that we all are subject to a constant evolution of ourselves? "𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒐 𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 5 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒈𝒐. 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇." - Alan Watts When it comes to Learning & Development, is it an organization's job to "fix" its people? Or is it even ethically right? For some time now, approaches focussing on working with past traumas have found their way into Leadership & Team Development (Lifeline / Origin Stories, IFS,…). People have different views on that matter, rightfully so. One thing is for sure though, asking others to engage in such deep and personal development while not doing it yourself is not going to go anywhere (hint: This is a shout out to Senior Management 😉). 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 In the context of management & leadership, "power" is often seen as a controversial term. Well, what do you think? The purpose of power is to influence. What we might miss is that this influence must not necessarry be directed outwardly, and can be a great source when we use it to influence and master ourselves. “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒇𝒆𝒘 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓. 𝑰𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒈𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒇 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒅, 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒖𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒇.” - Robert Greene Let´s make the case that true power isn't about controlling others; it's about steering yourself. A powerful framework for self-development is the 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑮𝒐𝒂𝒍𝒔. This framework highlights that self-management is crucial for leadership. It encompasses skills such as self-awareness, presence, and inner compass, which are essential for navigating complex challenges. The result? A calm mind, and a leadership rooted in a combination of presence in the moment AND strategic foresight. We at Prisma Insights believe in evolving leadership by focusing on inner growth. Our Leadership Solutions are designed to help leaders reconnect with their inner operating system and lead from a whole different level of consciousness. 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 The most common question we get from clients is: “𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒌?”. Organizations heavily invest in soft skill trainings, yet people go back and do not apply their newly gained knowledge. Leaders - and people generally - behave in dysfunctional ways, especially when they are stressed. Unfortunately, all their knowledge does not help them to act differently. This is why we need a different type of learning and development, one that goes much deeper. The core question is: how do we truly take care of others if we can't manage ourselves? The journey to effective leadership begins within. It's about mastering our inner operating system, much like upgrading from Windows 95 to the latest version. "𝑩𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓, 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓, 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔." - Jack Welch Inner development is not just a buzzword; it's the cornerstone of leadership. When we delve into our inner selves, we uncover the roots of our behaviors, our emotional triggers, and our deep-seated beliefs. This self-awareness is crucial because it allows us to respond rather than react, to lead with empathy rather than ego. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰? A single moment of unconscious leadership – a harsh word, a dismissive gesture – can shatter relationships built over years. 𝐀𝐬𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟: Do you have emotions, or do your emotions have you? If it's the latter, you're at the mercy of your emotional storms. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 Managing is about maintaining control, ensuring tasks are completed, and keeping the status quo. It's like being a conductor, ensuring every instrument plays its part in harmony. Leading, however, is about inspiring and guiding others towards a shared vision. It's about being the composer, creating a symphony that resonates on a deeper level. Managing focuses on external actions and behaviors, while leading emphasizes internal transformation. A manager might focus on improving efficiency, but a leader seeks to elevate the entire team's potential by fostering an environment of trust, creativity, and growth. It's the difference between trimming the branches and nurturing the roots. "𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆; 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆." - Kathy Austin This is the power of inner leadership. It's about creating a ripple effect, where your inner transformation leads to a broader organizational change, fostering a culture of conscious leadership.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐭 (𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐓𝐨) Imagine a world where leaders spin tales to maintain power. Hard to imagine, is it not? Well not really looking at what is happening all around us lately. The recent backlash against women's equal rights, highlighted at the World Economic Forum in Davos, is a prime example. Despite the clear economic benefits of gender parity, tokenism and virtue-signaling from world-renowed leaders risk to destroy all progress we have made in the last years. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬: - It will take another 108 years to close the global gender gap at the current rate of progress. - In some countries, gender inequality has worsened over the past decade. These statistics are not just numbers; they reflect the real-world impact of inauthentic leadership and the failure to address deeply ingrained socio-cultural attitudes. So, why do most leaders fall into the trap of tokenism and virtue-signaling? Or: why do they fake? Fear of losing power? Seeking social desirability? Perhaps. Whatever their reasons, leaders who change their stance as often as they change their underwear end up with a credibility crisis. Authenticity is the golden ticket in leadership. Authentic leaders create environments where employees feel valued and heard. It's what makes people trust you, even when you stumble. "𝑩𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇; 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒏." Authenticity isn't just a trait; it's a leadership superpower. But once that authenticity is shattered, rebuilding trust is like trying to glue together a shattered mirror.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 Let`s be honest: the whirlwind of transformation leaves everyone feel like a leaf in a storm at one point in time. Change can be draining, as we humans do not tend to love uncertainty. Organizations often struggle to convey why everyone should be fully on board during transformations. The common business liguo usually does not cut it. Companies have discovered a secret formula tough: Purpose! 🌟 Unfortunately, purpose is an often misunderstood concept and therefore has turned in many places already into the latest fad. A pity, as it really is a very promising idea. Applied correctly, that is. Purpose isn't some abstract concept - it must be real and tangible to truly drive behavioral change. "𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑚𝑒𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑓 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑐𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑑𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑝𝑖𝑐𝑘 𝑢𝑝 𝑎 𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑦 𝑖𝑡." - 𝑱𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏. Finding your purpose within the larger direction of the organization can be challenging. It's not always obvious. This is because you yourself turn into the compass. And this compass is the only one with the power to guide yourself through the chaos. But how can you rely on the fact that the compass leads you right? Meaning, are you picking up stuff and making decisions for your own advancement, or because you believe in the greater good? Identifying your “purpose” and being your own compass requires a deep, honest inquiry into your motives. "T𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑏𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑒" - 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒆. The best advise in all of this uncertainty is the truth – being true to yourself and to others to the best of your abilities with the current understanding you have. Because, how can you be wrong if you are absolutely true to yourself in every moment? Ask yourself very bluntly and honestly: Am I doing this for the sake of my own advancement and ego, or because I believe that I have a part to play in creating a greater good for everyone around me? This is what it means to follow your own compass - it is not a selfish pursuit but an honest inquiry into your motives. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬? 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬!
People perform better when they have a purpose. What are you doing to make sure your team knows theirs?
