Efforts to foster the domestic production of 𝗣𝗩 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 can often lead to unintended consequences and costs. #India and the #UnitedStates are leading the push to onshore PV production, but there are unexpected bumps along the road and such efforts do not come cheap. 🌍 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 🌍 Momentum for solar power continues to grow as countries 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘦 set new records in renewable energy deployment. With falling costs, policy support, and increasing investments in storage and grid upgrades, solar is proving to be a key player in the global energy transition. 🌱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻: Spain added 𝟲.𝟰𝟲 𝗚𝗪 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗩 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, bringing its total solar fleet to an impressive 32 GW. The country also led the way in renewable energy project approvals, with solar accounting for 85% of all new capacity authorized last year. 🌱 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮: Solar capacity surged by 𝟭.𝟳 𝗚𝗪 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, backed by strong policy support and new funding mechanisms. The country now targets 𝟭𝟬 𝗚𝗪 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬, solidifying its role in the region’s clean energy push. 🌱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮: Croatia’s solar market grew significantly, with 𝟯𝟵𝟳.𝟭 𝗠𝗪 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀—nearly doubling its 2023 total. While rooftop solar dominates, the country is now focusing on unlocking the potential of utility-scale projects. 🌱 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮: Estonia hit a new milestone with 𝟱𝟭𝟯 𝗠𝗪 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, nearly doubling its previous year's total.
