🚀🌌 Exciting News from the Space Conference! 🌌🚀 Our co-founder, Dr. Katharina Franziska Braig, LL.M., represented PV2+ at the recent Space Conference, where we showcased our latest innovations in solar technology for space applications. Our company, a spin-off from Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, is pioneering GaAs multi-junction solar cells that offer lightweight, highly efficient, and durable solutions ideal for space. While the cost per watt for these cells remains significantly higher than industrial counterparts, we’re committed to making them more affordable and eco-friendly. As part of ESA BIC Baden-Württemberg, PV2+ joined other visionary start-ups including StyX Neutronica, Horizon Microtechnologies, and LOKORA GmbH in Panel 4: Spin-Off – From Orbit to Earth, moderated by Stefan Engelhard. We shared insights on our business models and discussed the unique challenges of innovating within the space sector. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with experts in the field and engage in productive discussions—both in the sessions and on the panel, but especially during the in-between moments that spark new ideas. 📜 He also presented our latest results regading our copper plating metallization for solar cells, enabling further growth of the PV industry with copper contacts. This month, we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Sandra Detzer, economic policy spokeswoman for the Greens in the Bundestag, and Chantal Kopf, Bundestag member for the Greens in Freiburg, at our Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE spinoff PV2+ GmbH+! We had the opportunity to showcase our patented technology, which enables the substitution of silver with copper in solar cells.
