Info

The study program "Regulatory Affairs and Drug Development" is an innovative and unique specialization option for students holding a Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical or life sciences as well as for pharmacists who have completed the second state examination. It teaches the relevant aspects of the clinical development and approval of drugs and medical devices in an interdisciplinary manner and in cooperation with the association "Academia meets Industry e.V.". It is part of the regular Master's program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Here you will be trained in scientific and practical thinking and gain deep insights into the working ways of the pharmaceutical industry and agencies involved in drug development and approval. Besides a deep-dive into regulatory affairs and clinical development, the curriculum includes patent law, pharmaceutical quality, product strategy as well as training on the use of media and presentation. A special focus lies on the independent and critical reflection of ethical problems in the natural sciences. The practical relevance of the course is outstanding, resulting in particular from the interdisciplinary teaching staff consisting of university professors and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry. The study program thus combines the common interest of closer cooperation between industry and university and enables students to get to know the day-to-day work in the field of drug development.
