👀 No, that's not a Zoom background! 🇪🇺🇺🇸 As a European VC with a half-American team, we’ve become increasingly aware that while each side of the Atlantic has distinct superpowers, we share an enormous opportunity: the growing movement of hyper-ambitious founders who are choosing to apply their talents towards making a positive difference for our planet and society. 🌉 Which is why we’re excited to announce that Sharon Chen is the first Revent team member to land on the ground in her hometown of San Francisco, launching our effort to bridge Europe and the US for top teams building solutions in climate and health. 🤝 We’re excited to take our platform global and discover the new investments, projects, and partnerships to come. If you’re a founder or investor who's been thinking in a similar direction, please reach out - we’d love to have a conversation! #climatetech #healthtech #venturecapital

🤝 Next week, our GP Otto Birnbaum will moderate a panel at Impact/Week with leading LP’s on how they evaluate emerging purpose-driven fund managers. 💬 Excited to share our learnings from setting up Revent, but more importantly, to hear from Miki Yokoyama (Aurum Impact), David Gowenlock (Cambridge Associates), Solveig Schulze (Gothaer Digital GmbH), and Benoit Tesch (Foyer Group). 👋 If you’ll be there, please say hi!

💪 First off - why we love investing in Europe. We’ve seen firsthand how our ecosystem produces top-notch founders with distinctly global perspectives – many of whom we’ve had the privilege to back. And we're proud to be part of a region that leads the way on mission-critical issues like climate, health, and empowerment. 🔒 However, we've also seen how the many structural discrepancies across European markets can hinder growth. 🖊️ That’s why our team is signing the petition to create an "EU Inc" that could vastly simplify cross-border business operations between EU countries – to ensure that our entrepreneurs can translate their innovation into scaleable impact across Europe and beyond. We hope you’ll join us! 👇 Link in comments.

🚀 Thrilled to announce that our portfolio company forward earth has raised €4.5 million led by Mosaic Ventures, just 3 months after coming out of stealth! Proud of our rockstar founders Dr. Micha Schildmann, Giuseppe Gentile, and Cari Davidson for the incredible progress they've made in the past year. We're excited to double down on our support, alongside Speedinvest, for the team's vision of bringing full carbon transparency to complex, global supply chains. 👇 See comments for links to TechCrunch coverage and Why We Invested. 🤩 Incredible to watch Super Climate grow to 250+ investors and 30+ co-hosts on just its second time in New York City. 🇺🇸 🌎 When we helped start the event three years ago, we envisioned a place where GP's and LP's could come together to drive capital into the technologies needed for our fight against climate change. Proud to see this dream come to life and now, expand globally! Kudos to Rafael Dietzel for his stewardship and hard work!
🇺🇸 Last week, he held two events during New York Climate Week—first on Tuesday for a 5K run through Central Park, and then on Wednesday for our Super Climate NYC edition! 🇺🇸 We kicked off Climate Week with a 5K run alongside our partners from Breakthrough Energy , Extantia, and VoLo Earth Ventures, followed by an exciting FOAK-Session with Mario & Yair. More than 200 runners joined us for an energizing start to the week! On Wednesday evening, we held our main event at McKinsey’s global headquarters with more than 250 investors. We were honoured to have Mark Patel share his insights on the economic opportunities for investors. He made it clear: every 100x scaling leads to a cost reduction of about 70% and encourages investors that real efficiency comes with scaling—a trend proven in various industries. To add a touch of magic, the incomparable Doug McKenzie amazed everyone with his mesmerizing performance, creating an electric atmosphere throughout the evening. ✨ A huge thank you to McKinsey & Company for hosting us in their iconic venue and a special thanks to Ole Rolser and Peter Manuel Ludwig-Dehm for making it all happen. The setting was perfect for connecting, collaborating, and driving forward bold ideas to tackle the climate crisis. A big shout-out to our partners Honda Xcelerator Ventures, who once again supported our mission, and to Alex Jowett, Elisabeth Iszauk, Sophie Vaughan, and Rachael Ferm for their invaluable help. Last but not least, we couldn’t have done it without our amazing co-hosts who are helping us grow this community: 2150, Active Impact Investments, ArcTern Ventures, Azolla Ventures, Blume Equity, Burnt Island Ventures, Cerulean Ventures, Clean Energy Ventures, CurvePoint Capital, Ecosystem Integrity Fund, Energy Impact Partners, Extantia, Fifth Wall, Forbion, Future Energy Ventures, G2 Venture Partners, Impact Science Ventures, Lightrock, Marvelous - Deeptech Fund and Catalyst for Climate Solutions , Norrsken VC, Overture , Planet A Ventures, Princeville Capital, Renewal Funds, Revent, SOSV..(more in the comments) If you’re a climate tech fund interested in co-hosting or an LP wanting to attend our next event in Helsinki on November 20th, reach out to our team on LinkedIn or via mail! We’re looking forward to the next Super Climate on November 20th in Helsinki! #SuperClimate #NYCW
