🤔 Can a wolf be a good neighbour? What is the lynx’s role in maintaining healthy forests? 🌲🐾 Participants of a two-day workshop in the Transboundary Environmental Education Centre in Zalesie (PL) explored answers to these questions. The event brought together experts, representatives of institutions, and local communities from Poland and Germany. Through inspiring presentations, discussions, and a guided tour, participants gained insights into the lives of these fascinating predators and how we can ensure peaceful coexistence. 🌱💧Conservation and protection of the Ina River, in Poland, was at the heart of an #EOCA funded project with the brilliant team at Rewilding Oder Delta. Over the last couple of years, the project has held four clean-up events along a 17km stretch of the river, bringing numerous young people and local communities together. Volunteers also helped to plant 100 willow trees. Restoration work was successfully carried out last year on the Ina, helping to boost biodiversity and significantly enhance ecological health. The ‘Promoting Wildlife Comeback in Ina River’ project has achieved so much! Improving the river and its surrounding landscapes, protecting habitats for wildlife whilst also addressing climate change issues and impacts.
