✨ Reflecting on an Unforgettable Internship at Riverside Luxury Cruises ✨
In just a few weeks, my internship with the Marketing and Sales team at Riverside Luxury Cruises will come to an end. Riverside Luxury Cruises is an emerging company in the 5-star-plus river cruise segment, offering the concept of “Slow Luxury” aboard the ships Riverside Mozart, Riverside Ravel, and Riverside Debussy for truly unforgettable journeys. As a student at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® Innsbruck, I had the chance to gain extensive insights into marketing and sales within the luxury segment while directly applying the theoretical concepts from my studies to practice.
As a young company with flexible structures, Riverside Luxury Cruises allowed me to take on significant responsibility and actively contribute to building the brand. I gained valuable insights and developed in many areas:
1️⃣ Marketing Campaigns
Supported campaign planning, from sourcing press offers to managing the media plan, and independently led campaigns over a three-week period.
2️⃣ Content Marketing & Visual Communication
Created visual concepts, copy, and imagery to strengthen Riverside Luxury Cruises brand identity.
3️⃣ Social Media & Digital Presence
Enhanced the digital presence through Meta Business Suite by helping to create, schedule, and manage content and engage the community.
4️⃣ Analysis & Reporting
Participated in analyzing marketing efforts, gaining insights for future campaign optimization and expanding skills in market research.
5️⃣ Sales Promotions
Assisted in planning key promotions. I am especially proud of my work in planning and organizing an info trip aimed at entering the Australian market.
6️⃣ Partner Communication
Collaborated with big media partners like Condé Nast Germany, gaining insights into partnership management and luxury brand marketing.
7️⃣ Customer Relationship Management
Deepened knowledge of CRM tools like Salesforce, essential for customer engagement and sales operations.
🌟 Personal Highlight & Valuable Growth Opportunity:
The B2C Cruise Event Fair on October 19th and 20th in The Hague.
Due to an illness in the team, I was asked if I could represent Riverside Luxury Cruises independently at the event to the Dutch market — a challenge I eagerly accepted. This responsibility and the trust placed in me was an immense honor. The event was a huge success and remains one of the most valuable highlights of my internship!
