Another intense week of the RootCamp Acceleration Program has come to and end! It was a week full of learning, deep discussions, connections and workshops. These are the highlights: 🟢 Sales, Marketing & Customer Acquisition Strategy Marketing 1.0 for AgTech startups: Chiara Molena from EDERA Lab talked about how to develop a marketing plan and leverage all communications channels. Expert-Led Content to Drive Pipeline Growth: Manuel Esbrí Ramos from SIMBIONTE | Digital Growth for Life Sciences explained how to generate and capture demand across different B2B channels. Wallet-opening websites: Simon Harvey from Demodia gave us the exact steps to follow to tell stories online and create a home page that will create clarity, build trust and close sales faster. Thanks to our partner Fabian Hartmann from HubSpot for the connection! LinkedIn Outreach Automation: Mario Verbeek from RootCamp - A SpinLab Company showed us how to streamline outreach and save time by automating key processes. Customer & Partner Development: Simone Poppe led an eye-opening workshop, starting with a realistic SWOT analysis and ending with actionable strategies to secure the next big client. PR and social media essential: with Thi Thu Linh Pham from SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator we discovered how to build relationships with journalists, and create a consistent brand presence that drives growth and recognition.   🔵 Funding & Investor Insights Investor Masterclass: Startups met five top VCs - The Yield Lab, Oyster Bay Management GmbH, European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF), Nucleus Capital, and FoodLabs. Thanks to Divya Murthy, Hakan Karan, PhD, John Carrigan, Julius Strauss, Carolina Villa for joining! Being Realistic About Funding: Eric Weber SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator provided insights into securing funding while staying aligned with long-term growth strategies. VC Negotiation Essentials: Dr. Philipp Rittershaus from RootCamp - A SpinLab Company guided startups on how to approach investors, what VCs look for, and how to find the right partner at the right time. Financial modelling: with Alexandra Vázquez Bea, LL.M. COO / CFO Oetker Digital shared simple but rules that startups can use to build their financial models and convince investors with numbers. ✨We ended the week with visits to K+S Group and Aquapurna, highlighting the value of partnerships between startups and industry leaders. 📢 Funding News: RootCamp’s Batch #6 startup Veridi Technologies BV has been awarded a €2.5 million grant from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) Accelerator. This funding is a major step forward in Veridi’s mission to make soil biodiversity diagnostics a standard in agriculture. With this grant, Veridi will expand its team of engineers and scientists to scale up its imaging platform and algorithms for soil biodiversity analysis.
