🌟 Exciting Day at the TOP BWL Hochschulmarketing Event! 🌟 Last Tuesday, Christian Meidl (geb. Pürzer) from our Accelerator team and our colleague Lilian Sommer from SevenVentures had the opportunity to connect with young talents and bright minds at LMU Munich School of Management’s TOP BWL Hochschulmarketing Event. A special thank you also goes to Louisa Hofmann from our Employer Branding Team for representing ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and sharing insights about our various affiliated companies. Here are some highlights from the event: 1. Introduction to ProSiebenSat.1: Louisa showcased our company and its diverse subsidiaries. 2. Networking with Top Talents: We engaged with outstanding BWL graduates, representing the top 10% of their cohort, alongside industry leaders like Bain, Deloitte, EY and many more. 3. Interactive Case Study: We collaborated in small groups on a case study focused on online grocery shopping and explored the intricacies of the respective unit economics. With around 50 students in attendance overall, our own case study group consisted of 7 talented members who brought valuable perspectives to the discussion. It is important for us as an investor to afford students insights into our daily business and show them what kind of attractive jobs are waiting for them at SevenAccelerator and SevenVentures in in the future. A big shoutout to everyone involved and especially to LMU Munich School of Management and LMU Management Alumni for having us.

💡 Media-for-Equity - The key to reach, trust and growth for start-ups? In their new “Knowledge Hub” Foundersphere.io shares expert insights for start-ups. As one of the first contributors Florian Hirschberger and Maximilian Jochim, Managing Directors of SevenVentures, explain how Media-for-Equity (M4E) works as an investment model. M4E means that media services are exchanged for company shares. This innovative approach offers start-ups in the growth phase a unique opportunity to gain valuable brand exposure without the need for significant capital investment. Furthermore, M4E models are flexible, which allows start-ups to adapt their campaigns and timing to maximize results. However, M4E is not a one-size-fits-all solution. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝘅 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘅 𝗻𝘂𝗰𝗮𝗼 At the Startups for Tomorrow Festival on September 3rd in Munich, innovation and sustainability took center stage. We are proud that we were a part of this inspiring event, where our colleague Christopher Halbig joined forces with Christian Fenner, co-founder of nucao, for an insightful panel discussion. During the session, they highlighted how #SevenVentures empowers sustainable brands to scale by leveraging the strength of TV. Our media partnership with nucao exemplifies this approach, helping them grow their brand awareness and impact through targeted TV campaigns. As a partner to emerging sustainable businesses, we are committed to supporting the growth of brands that prioritize sustainability. Working with partners like nucao reflects our commitment to driving positive change in the market and demonstrating that sustainability can thrive in the mass market. We were also happy to meet fellow partners and familiar faces from mybacs and GREENFORCE at the conference. The festival also featured various deep dive sessions, panel talks and keynotes where experts from Startups for Tomorrow and other leading companies shared their insights and the latest trends shaping the industry. Listening to their expertise and experiences in building up their respective businesses was not only very interesting but also led to insightful chats after the sessions on how to optimize the startup ecosystem for sustainable brands and much more. Our SevenVentures team, including Benedikt Busch, Michael Jesswein, Lisa Maria Greimel, Lisa Marie Scholten and Vanessa Borevac really enjoyed this opportunity to network. SevenAccelerator closes follow-on investment with Dogs`n Tiger We're happy to share that we have successfully closed a follow-on #deal with the pet food brand Dogs`n Tiger. At the same time, we converted our media volume from the first deal into shares in the company and are now shareholders in Dogs'n Tiger - The Dude Food Company GmbH. Congratulations Angie Zimmann, Christian Meidl (geb. Pürzer) and Leonie Ihrig – another great success! 🙌🏼 Dogs’n Tiger was founded in August 2021 and since October of the same year, #SevenAccelerator has been supporting the company in its #mission to offer owners the highest quality food for their pets. Large scale retail listings are the start-up's next goal. For this purpose, the new deal also includes a new TV spot that will be shown on our channels since TV advertisements are an effective tool to establish trust and address retailers. Furthermore, Dogs’n Tiger have launched a new product line: “Schlemmer-Menüs”. With “Schlemmer-Menüs”, the young company is aiming to gain a sustainable foothold in the German retail market, having already achieved a nationwide listing at Spar in Austria. Maximilian Jochim, Managing Director SevenVentures: “The fact that Dogs`n Tiger has repeatedly chosen to work with us underlines our expertise in strategic brand building. The unbroken strength of TV as an advertising medium pays off, especially for products that require a high level of trust and credibility from consumers. On Thursday, we once again hosted our #SevenAccelerator 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆 – a day filled with learning, networking, and, of course, a lot of fun! 🚀 We started the day with a delicious lunch at BalanDeli to fuel us for the afternoon. After eating and catching up with one another we started the real work. Thomas Schwarz, CEO Seven.One AdFactory, kicked off the afternoon session by giving us insights into the process of building a brand and sharing concrete examples and cases to illustrate what must be kept in mind when building a brand. This #workshop was followed by a second one by Till Weyerhäuser, Growth Lead for Social Media Outcomes at Mawave, who discussed social media strategies in e-commerce. He shared his personal best cases and some very handy tips and tricks. A big thank you to both of our speakers! Before we went back to networking (and eating), we finished off the afternoon session with an engaging discussion round on retail, AI tools and best practices as well as tips and important considerations regarding fundraising. We then ended the day on a high note with a great dinner at the Fitzroy restaurant in the Werksviertel. It was a great opportunity for networking, chatting, and exchanging ideas while enjoying the great view over the roofs of Munich. We at #SevenAccelerator are happy to work with a portfolio partner known for its unique approach to knitting – OONIQUE. The company was founded in 2020 and since then is revolutionizing the #knitting world with its unique business model, offering customizable, high-quality knitting kits that cater to both beginners and seasoned pros. Their mission? To make knitting more accessible, personalized, and enjoyable for everyone. OONIQUE’s innovative approach allows customers to design their own knitting kits online, selecting their preferred size and color. Are you yourself an investor, or simply passionate about developing young brands? As Chief Human Resources Officer, I am genuinely passionate about young talents. Our role as an e-commerce player is to support innovative ideas and young, ambitious entrepreneurs. On top of that I am always seeking ways to especially empower female talents and get connected with them. Either through mentoring, as their coach or just by encouraging them to keep on working on their projects. I have worked in different companies with a strong start-up flair & mindset and always loved the energy, hands-on mentality and high level of commitment from teams to push their idea to a blooming business. 2. What are you most looking forward to at SevenVentures Pitch Day 2024? Are there any current start-up trends or innovations that you are super excited about at the moment? I am very excited to meet the people behind the ideas and start-ups and to learn more about their journey and vision. Business wise, I am very interested in everything around AI. I would also love to see some female power on stage and in the finale. 3. What in your opinion marks out a successful start-up pitch? I am very curious to hear the story behind the start-ups, so that we can get to know the entrepreneurs and the persons behind, what drives them and why do they believe in their idea. I would love them to let us experience why they are so passionate and convinced about their idea, not just by numbers but also by sharing their vision and journey behind their company in a captivating way. My message to all participants: Get straight to the point & don't forget to enjoy the moment! 4. And lastly - what do you want to see from a Pitch Day winner? A few days ago, our colleagues Christian and Michael attended #Cashwalk Munich. At this event, 28 hand-picked #startups met 55 top investors. This 1:2 ratio of start-ups to VCs assured high-quality pitches, discussions, networking, and partnership opportunities. At the pitch event, start-ups were able to present their ideas in four different categories: 💡Digital & Consumer Innovation 📈Business & Enterprise Tech 🌱Deep & Climate Tech 🩺Health Each company had only 3 minutes to impress the jury, consisting of #VC experts, and secure early investments. Christian was part of the jury in the field “Digital & Consumer Innovation”. Alongside colleagues from HV Capital, Acton Capital, CK Venture Capital GmbH, and Wessel Management GmbH, among others, he got to see pitches from a range of exciting start-ups within this field. Our team was impressed by all the innovative ideas. Congratulations to the winner in the category "Digital & Consumer Innovation", Paul Pizzinini (Off). Furthermore, we really enjoyed the great conversations and discussions with founders and other investors next to the official pitches. We had a great time at Cashwalk!
