Seenotrettung ist rechtliche und humanitäre Verpflichtung – doch nicht alle Parteien beziehen klar Stellung dazu, dass Menschen an den EU-Außengrenzen aus Seenot gerettet werden müssen. Während einige Parteien sich zu dieser rechtlichen Pflicht bekennen und sich für ein europäisch koordiniertes Seenotrettungsprogramm einsetzen und gegen die Kriminalisierung von ziviler Seenotrettung, schweigen andere zu der politischen und humanitären Krise auf dem zentralen Mittelmeer. Update from shipyard – the finishing touches: Our rescue ship Humanity 1 is almost ready to rescue in the Central Mediterranean. Take a look at the before and after and see how it was spruced up in the dry dock! After thorough inspection, repair, and maintenance, our rescue vessel is now in top shape for us to set sail again and tackle the challenges of search and rescue missions on the Central Mediterranean. Over the past few weeks, we have been able to follow how much work our technical team on site, together with great volunteer supporters, have put into this. Many thanks for that! The new crew is now already preparing for the next mission on board. Despite all challenges, we continue to rescue people in distress in the Central Mediterranean and uphold human rights.
