Inspiring presentations and exchanges of ideas about the positive power of sports! Our colleague Drin participated in the conference "Values of Sport: Building Bridges in a United Europe", held in Pristina, Kosovo, from 21–23 November 2024. Organized by ENGSO and hosted by the Kosovo Olympic Committee, the event provided an excellent platform to explore and discuss the role of sport in fostering stronger communities, peaceful societies, and the promotion of EU values. Beyond inspiring presentations, the chance to connect and exchange ideas with representatives from various organizations was incredibly valuable—because: #TogetherWeCanMakeAChange and RISE !!

We provide strategic support towards sustainable change. We support the development and implementation of innovative ideas and practices in the areas of sport, youth, health, and education. Within these fields, we work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, which includes public agents, non-for-profit organisations, education institutes, and businesses from local to international levels. Competence in capacity building concepts and person-centred collaborative learning approaches: We have an academic background in research, a specific set of competencies in formal and non-formal education and training, and expertise in person-centred forms of collaborative learning approaches. This helps us to co-create capacity building concepts that are end-user-oriented and applicable to the real-life contexts of our target groups. Our capacity building concepts have been applied in 30+ project settings in 20+ countries over more than a decade. Within the larger context of the United Nation’s led international cooperation for sustainable development, we apply sport as a tool to build capacity in communities, organisations and for individuals: Our capacity building approach is centred on education and life skills development. With it, we support local to international stakeholders with initiatives around youth empowerment, social inclusion, employability, social activation, health-enhancing physical activity, or civic engagement. Throughout more than 20 years spent in the field, our staff has built a specific portfolio in project management, monitoring, quality management and evaluation for sport for development projects and programmes. This has been applied through 50+ transnational projects and programmes. Our motto is: Together we can make a change!

Are we on the way towards a first #GlobalSportImpactFund? The positive role that sport can play towards realising the #SDG seems clear to most - including the #G7. Yet, much of this potential is still left unexploited. But to reach our common impact goals, the full power of sport to do good needs to be unleashed. For it, we need to support #SportClubs to develop and showcase the good they are doing. RISE is one piece of such support structure. Let’s bring our ideas and forces together to maximise the good one can do through sport! Because: #TogetherWeCanMakeAChange!
#SPORT 🤝 We are glad to announce that the role of #Sport as a leverage for sustainable development and inclusive growth has been officially endorsed by the G7 Ministers of Development through the “Final Communiqué” and the “Pescara Declaration on Sustainable Investment in the Sport Ecosystem. 👉 As recalled by the Final Communiqué, the G7 “emphasize the positive role that sport and the sport ecosystem can play to realise the SDGs […] and welcome the engagement of an increasing number of public development banks and other relevant financing stakeholders to mobilise quality investments to foster sport as an enabler of a wide range of SDGs”. 📣 We want to highlight the crucial role played by the @FiCS Coalition on Sustainable Development through Sport, which has been included in the work of the Ad-hoc Expert Group on #Sport and #SustainableDevelopment, promoted for the first time by the Italian Presidency of the G7 within the work of the Partnership for Global Infrastructure Investment (PGII). ➡ Under the leadership of Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, AFD - Agence Française de Développement and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and thanks to the technical support of International Olympic Committee – IOC, OECD-OCDE and UNESCO, the FiCS Sport Coalition supported the G7 Expert Group in the promotion of a common vision and concrete actions to foster sustainable investments in the sport dimensions, under a political, technical and financial lens. ➡ On the last one, the FiCS Coalition will have a primary role in developing the first Global Sport Impact Fund, an innovative and flexible financial instrument, launched on the eve of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games through the Summit on Sport for Sustainable Development, aimed to support transformative projects in this sector. Stay tuned for future updates on this incredible journey ➡ Next stop to Finance in Common Summit 2025 🔗 Find the full text of Final Communiqué and the Pescara Declaration https://lnkd.in/eSbJkGcE Antonella Baldino, Rémy Rioux, Katia Mascagni, Gabriela Ramos, Federico Bonaglia, Ollie Dudfield, Philipp Müller-Wirth, Ekaterina Travkina, Martha Bloom, Andrea Benassi, Susumu Katsumata, Sho Sato, Patrick Jannaschk-Schmitz, Gianluca Calvosa, Matthieu Valot, Karim Aboubacar, Nelson CAMARA, Adama MARIKO, Alessandro Mancini, Sport Impact, OpenEconomics, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH Istituto per il Credito Sportivo - Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement, Bancoldex, Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD) PLC, CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe-, CDC France, Groupe CDG, CDP Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), Laureus Foundation, IPC, ADFIMI, ALIDE, Christophe DIAS

An amazing launch event for our RISE For the Good in Sport Quality Label and Development Platform with our partners from Ericeira Surf Clube in Portugal 🏄♀️🏄🏄♂️ !! Thanks, Ben, for your truly amazing work and immense dedication to #RISE 🙏 !! #sport4good #ForTheGoodInSport
What an incredible day with Ericeira Surf Clube! We hosted a vibrant discussion on how the RISE platform can help local sports clubs and organizations increase their social impact. We had the chance to meet so many great people from the community, sharing innovative ideas, and exploring how sports can be a catalyst for positive change. A truly inspiring experience. In the afternoon, we took to the water with the Surfing 4 Inclusion program for an amazing stand-up paddleboarding session along the river. It was a perfect way to connect, reflect, and continue promoting inclusivity through sports. Special thanks to Câmara Municipal de Mafra and Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude, IP for their support in making this event possible and to Ericeira Surf Club for being such a fantastic partner. Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what sports can achieve! 🚀 #SocialImpact #SportsForGood #RISEPlatform #ImpactThroughSports #Ericeira #Community Find out more about RISE here: www.rise-sport.eu
