✨ Reflecting on an Inspiring Evening with Founders ✨   On Monday evening, we had the opportunity to host a Fireside Chat on "Company Building from Day 1 to Exit" with Dr. Gero Decker (SAP Signavio) and Mirko Novakovic (Dash0), two visionary founders from our SquareOne LP family.   It was an evening filled with stories of resilience, innovation, and raw honesty. Our portfolio company Flinn.ai secures €6M in Seed Funding to transform MedTech Quality Management Using AI. The round was led by Cherry Ventures and we doubled down on our initial investment together with our pre-seed co-investor Speedinvest. Flinn.ai cutting-edge software enables MedTech companies to streamline and enhance regulatory compliance through automation — an increasingly vital requirement as industry regulations become more intricate. This funding will allow Flinn.ai to further develop its AI product offerings, improving quality management in the medical technology sector. 🚨 Milestone alert 🚨 C1 produces first methanol in “Leuna100” pilot project We have successfully commissioned our #GreenMethanol #pilotplant in the #ChemicalPark in Leuna and took the entire C1 team there to celebrate the first methanol batch produced. 🎉 The plant is built 100% from off-the-shelf #industrial components, paving the way for a fast #scaleup of our groundbreaking #methanol production #technology. Thanks to the entire team for the hard work, the tears and the sweat that went into making this a reality in #record #time. The funding guideline for the development of renewable fuels is being coordinated by NOW GmbH and implemented by the project management agencies VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH and Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V. Saving harmful emissions equivalent to 160 return flights from Germany to the Maldives by fixing just one leakage? 🤯 YES, with atmio! We’re excited to announce our latest investment in Hamburg-based atmio and its unique technological solution to reduce methane emissions and make a big impact on climate change. 🌎💚 Methane is THE overlooked climate polluter next to CO2. atmio is building the operating platform to detect and reduce leaking methane emissions within the energy sector, which accounts for ~20% of global methane emissions. These leakages occur primarily from natural gas escaping along the entire value chain in the oil and gas industry. Being forced to comply with the upcoming EU regulation, oil and gas operators need solutions to detect, repair, and report methane leakages. “Methane emissions are responsible for about 30% of global warming. Big day for our portfolio company Hero which raised €11.3m led by Valar Ventures LLC! A huge shout-out and congrats to Roland Jais-Nielsen and the entire team.  We have been fortunate to back HERO as its first large institutional investor alongside Motive Ventures and now renewed our support together with Valar. The next chapter of the company is all about international expansion and evolving the product offering into a holistic platform for working capital optimization. The need for such an offering is high in HERO’s target segment: small and medium-sized merchants across Europe.
