Updates

  • Optimizing metal parts at SteelCo.Tech A new project at the Großbottwar site aims to develop an innovative deburring process for aluminum parts to eliminate flitter burrs. Already initiated last year, the implementation will take place over the coming months. Employees from Operations and Quality Assurance, along with external partners, will collaborate on this research.  Flitter burrs are thin, often microscopic burrs that form along the edges of stamped and formed aluminum components. These burrs can go undetected during optical inspections and potentially cause short circuits if they detach inside control units. Our project goals:  - Develop an advanced deburring technique for aluminum components - Achieve flitter-free parts to enhance product safety and reliability - Optimize metal part production processes  Further details about the project will be available in next week's newsletter. Readers can register for updates via the comment section below the article.

5,700,000 metal parts a year We have been manufacturing a claw strap for a customer in the automotive sector for several decades. It is used for seat adjustments and is used by well-known OEMs in their cars. In addition to the steel used here, the three SteelCo.Tech sites also offer other materials depending on the application: - Steel in various grades and compositions - Stainless steel - aluminium - non-ferrous metal. In addition to further production steps such as laser welding, numerous surface treatments are also available as an option.

  • Assemblies and modules As a development and production partner, SteelCo.Tech offers sophisticated and efficient solutions in the areas of stamping, forming and deep drawing. Mergers in the tool or the precise insertion of additional components can also be realized and thus enable the reduction of additional work steps. Examples: - Thread production - Riveting process - Bolting process - Bonding processes - Welding techniques (mainly laser welding) and laser marking - Labeling solutions Our customers also have the option of customized production processes including manual activities (welding, assembly, feeding, etc.). We also have decades of experience in semi-automated component assembly and can support you here.

Metal shapes the world | 200 Mio. stamping, forming and deep-drawn parts per year | Prototyping Tooling Manufacturing

Three good reasons for metal stampings Cost-efficient, high-quality and quick to produce: stamping and forming technology for metal parts has become indispensable in many areas. Because these advantages simply speak for themselves! - Cost efficiency: Compared to machining processes such as turning, milling or drilling, stamping and forming technology enables more cost-effective production. - Precision and quality: The manufacturing method enables parts to be produced with tight tolerances and high dimensional accuracy. - Fast delivery: Modern machines can achieve high cycles per minute and thus ensure a high output quantity in a short time. Depending on the technical requirements and the schedule, other manufacturing technologies are still correct and important. Many parts are more cost-effective if they are produced as stamped and formed parts. We would be happy to advise you on your metal parts.

  • Are you facing or will you face short time work (Kurzarbeit)?  Companies worldwide face significant challenges. However, STEELCO.TECH remains in a strong position. We continue to offer our complete range of services and are not subject to any additional bureaucratic regulations, e.g. of short time work (Kurzarbeit).  With our three subsidiaries, we have been a reliable partner for many decades regarding stamping, forming and deep-drawing and will be happy to support you:  Rapid prototyping: We realize prototypes promptly so that your innovations can be launched on the market.  In-depth support in engineering and toolmaking: We take over individual steps or even entire projects so that important processes can continue.  Quality-assuring tool relocation: We ensure a smooth transition when tools are relocated, thus safeguarding your ability to deliver.  Taking over complex production steps: Thanks to our vertical integration and processing, we can also take on demanding tasks and thus relieve your resources.  Our presses have a pressing force of 12.5 to 1,000 tons and can process material thicknesses of 0.2 to 6 mm. This means we are equipped for a wide range of your parts and assemblies.
