🎉 Our Weert site is growing! The expansion of our Dutch location is complete after less than two years. This is a reason to celebrate, not only for us, but also for our customers in the food industry. The expansion was driven primarily by the need for seamless processes, improved efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and modern workplace requirements. “This new building marks a milestone in Syntegon’s growth journey. It reflects our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and creating the best experience for our customers and employees.” Our CEO, Torsten Türling, along with Frank van Kuijk (Weert Managing Director), Ann Cuylaerts (Executive VP of Vertical Packaging) and Paul Derckx (DGA Derckx BV) were present to officially open the new building. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this project, from the construction team to our employees, whose commitment made this success possible. 🌍 Sustainable growth: Syntegon achieves SBTi validation! 🌱 We’re proud to announce that Syntegon has reached a major milestone in our sustainability journey! The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has officially validated our climate targets, confirming their alignment with the global 1.5°C goal. By 2030, we aim to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 48.3% compared to 2019 – covering both direct emissions from owned sources and indirect emissions from purchased energy, such as electricity. We’re also targeting a 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions from 2022, including those from purchased goods and the use of sold machines. We launched a new pilot program that focuses on supporting the balance between family and career for our employees. Currently, five dedicated moms are participating in a group coaching session, in collaboration with the experienced external coach, Inga Zügel. 💼💕 The program includes both individual and group sessions, offering invaluable support in areas such as stress management and resilience, clarity and inner strength, balancing work and family, peer exchange and networking, as well as motivation and time management. Each participant sets her own personal focus as part of the coaching process.
