💕800 hearts, one message: For a better healthcare journey in breast cancer💕 This October, Sysmex Corporation and Sysmex EMEA collaborated on a global pink ribbon campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer. Together, we organised a mosaic art project, collecting 800 pink photos from employees worldwide, with each photo contributing to donations for patients and their families. We are proud to share the result of these 800 pink selfies — a beautiful mosaic symbolising our collective effort and commitment. What are the characteristics of blasts in the WPC channel after the treatment with reagents? Discovering blasts is important to detect suspicious blood samples. 🩸 For example, for AML – acute myeloid leukaemia – the WHO defined a cut-off of having 20% myeloid blasts in peripheral blood or bone marrow as a prerequisite for its diagnosis. Good to know 💡 that there are routine haematology analysers that can recognise blasts and distinguish them from other potentially malignant WBC, allowing you to proceed with suitable diagnostic steps. Last week, 20 colleagues from Sysmex Europe, Sysmex Deutschland, Sysmex Inostics and Sysmex R&D Center Europe headed out to Norderstedt to support Diakonie building a new facility for people in need. Highly motivated, they grabbed their tools and gloves and started working on the construction site. The group helped with fitting floors with insulation and preparing them for the floor covering, with cutting insulation materials for the exterior façade, with setting clinker bricks and with insulating the attic. While having a hot soup for lunch, our Sysmex colleagues sat down and ate together with day visitors from the facility.     As is often the case on construction sites, the activities went differently than planned, but the group still had a lot of fun and an eventful and meaningful day.     Many thanks to the dedicated helpers!
