Last week, we celebrated the launch of Carsten Höller’s ‘Book of Games’ at the ICA London with Polaroid Foundation in London.   Guests enjoyed an engaging talk between Carsten Höller and Hans Ulrich Obrist and were then encouraged to "play along" in an immersive photographic experience. Directed by Carsten Höller, the games were then captured with the Polaroid 20x24, the world's largest instant camera and one of only five in existence.   Carsten Höller’s ‘Book of Games’ is available to order on www.TASCHEN.com and in stores.   Photos by Pierre Björk   #TASCHENbooks #CarstenHoller #Book #Games

‘National Gallery. Art Edition’, Chris Ofili ‘The Caged Bird’s Song (Voyeur)’, 2024   Since it was established in 1824, The National Gallery has become a beacon for London's visitors and residents alike. These pages tell the history of painting in the Western European tradition, punctuated by photographic portraits of 25 cultural figures such as Chris Ofili.   The 'Art Edition' by Chris Ofili comprises 100 copies with the numbered (No. 1–100) and signed print 'The Caged Bird’s Song (Voyeur)', 2024. Chris Ofili’s atmospheric and enigmatic paintings investigate the intersection of desire, identity, and representation. Portraying characters from a range of aesthetic and cultural sources through a kaleidoscopic visual mode that bridges abstraction and figuration, his works serve as sites for journeys of creative transformation.    'National Gallery. Art Edition' (No. 1–100), with the numbered and signed print 'The Caged Bird’s Song (Voyeur)', 2024, by Chris Ofili, is available to pre-order on www.TASCHEN.com and in stores.   #TASCHENbooks #NationalGallery #ChrisOfili

On the evening of December 5, our Beverly Hills store hosted an exclusive preview and book signing with Lee Unkrich to celebrate the release of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining.   The excitement surrounding this highly anticipated edition brought together a vibrant crowd of film enthusiasts and Kubrick fans eager to meet Lee and be among the first to experience the new release.    Guests were treated to a thrilling display of original movie set memorabilia, including Jack’s axe, Wendy’s knife, the clapperboard, and a typewriter complete with countless pages of “All work and no play…”. Throughout the evening, refreshments were served by the twins, who invited guests to “come drink with us” in the store’s iconic Ice Box room, making for an unforgettable evening.   ‘Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining’ is available to order on www.TASCHEN.com and in stores.   Photos by Michael Stocke   #TASCHENbooks #StanleyKubrick #TheShining #BeverlyHills
