360T Partners with International Sailing and Ocean Racing Team Malizia and their skipper Boris Herrmann. Boris Herrmann is currently racing the famous Vendée Globe 2024-2025, a single-handed, non-stop and non-assisted round-the-world sailing race that takes place every four years. He and his Team Malizia are also set to join The Ocean Race Europe 2025 in August. Team Malizia uses its platform to champion climate action and marine conservation by contributing to science with the collection of important Ocean Data during the races and contribute to scientific research. 🌍 The Vendée Globe kicks off ! ⛵️🏁 Thrilled to be here at the starting line, continuing my work with TEAM MALIZIA as they set sail in the Vendée Globe, carrying the dual mission of adventure and climate research. While racing solo around the world, Boris Herrmann is also collecting invaluable CO₂ data in some of the most remote ocean regions, just as he did in the last Vendée Globe. This data has already made an impact, with CO₂ measurements from The Ocean Race feeding directly into the 2024 Global Carbon Budget – vital to understanding the ocean’s role in absorbing carbon and buffering climate change. This partnership between science and sport exemplifies the spirit of climate action and exploration.
