👏 Big news - Patrice Pogorelik has taken on the role of Head of Innovation Products, marking an exciting new chapter in her impressive journey. #teamtuesday "I believe TQ is in a fantastic place today. We’ve become much more focused on making the right connections for venture clienting and have honed our specialization in Finance, Green Transformation, AgriFood, and (newly added!) the Transformation of the German Mittelstand. With strong ties across all stakeholders in the Frankfurt Rhein-Main innovation ecosystem, TQ is on track to become the go-to hub for startups in the critical Seed to Series B stages and for corporates leading the charge in innovation. I’m excited about the new networks we’re building with investors and industry experts, as well as the international connections we’re establishing to help our startups scale more effectively than ever before." - Patrice Pogorelik -------------------------------- Patrice’s Background Starting in August 2020 – right during the pandemic – Patrice joined as a Project Manager and quickly made waves. Patrice has been on an inspiring growth trajectory from managing their first program solo (remember the first Impact Challenge? 🙌) to leading the Growth Alliance | AgriFood by the end of 2022. As Program Lead for Growth Alliance, she scaled the initiative from one market-entry-stage program to a comprehensive suite of three startup programs (spanning ideation to scaling) and one standout networking event – GANS 🪿, the Growth Alliance Networking Summit – a personal highlight and a true labor of love. For the first time, Growth Alliance allowed Patrice to assemble and lead a team of project managers. This leadership role brought valuable insights into what it takes to guide others, instill trust, and nurture excellence. Over the past 4.5 years, Patrice has mastered building bridges between startups, corporates, and investors, learning the ins and outs of ideation, incubation, and acceleration. Fun fact? Patrice even joined one of TechQuartier's incubation programs as a participant to experience the entrepreneurial journey firsthand – though her app-based business didn’t make it, the lessons learned were invaluable. Along the way, Patrice’s role has taken her across Germany and beyond, from Weihenstephan to Helsinki, creating opportunities and building connections wherever she goes.

Our partners, such as EY, are dedicated to fostering innovation in the startup ecosystem and continue to make a meaningful impact. In the latest FinTech Magazine, Christopher Schmitz, EY’s EMEIA FinTech Leader and a long-time advocate for FinTech startups, TechQuartier, and the EY Startup Academy, shared his insights on how the EU’s Financial Data Access (FiDA) regulation will reshape the industry. >> Read the entire article here: https://lnkd.in/egQ9PYQu Chris highlighted that FiDA’s broad data-sharing mandate will challenge traditional financial institutions and open new doors for startups and FinTechs to innovate. By leveraging real-time data access and standardized APIs, startups can deliver enhanced customer experiences, build data-driven services, and redefine competition in financial services. Here are three additional key takeaways from the article: 1️⃣ Empowering Consumers: FiDA emphasizes consumer consent, giving individuals greater control over their financial data and allowing them to authorize third-party access for better market offerings. 2️⃣ Fostering Innovation: The regulation promotes the development of new financial services by FinTechs, from personalized financial products to advanced risk assessment tools. 3️⃣ Industry Challenges: Financial institutions must navigate significant technical upgrades and compliance requirements to meet FIDA’s real-time API data-sharing mandates, creating challenges and opportunities for collaboration with #FinTechs.
