    One of the unexpected joys of being a hands-on software startup advisor is the unique ways I can support my clients. 🤩 Recently, I’ve been working with a client on product discovery, strategy development, and optimizing team processes. They were navigating their first ISO 27001 certification, and having been involved in similar projects before, I knew how critical this phase could be. During a daily standup, I caught wind of their plan to prioritize building a staging system for the certification—a move that could have consumed weeks or even months of their time. More importantly, it would have diverted their focus from a crucial task: restricting production access for engineers, which is essential for the certification. In a quick discussion, we decided to shift focus. They concentrated on implementing production deploy pipelines in GitHub to facilitate the necessary access restrictions instead. This approach was not only achievable before the audit but also helped the team understand the relative importance of the staging system. The result? They passed the audit! 🎉 I couldn’t be happier for them. It feels rewarding to know that my attention and the right questions made a significant impact, saving them more than what they pay me in 2–3 months. 🙌 #TinyWins #StartupAdvisor #ISO27001 #SuccessStories
