UAV-DEV GmbH marks a year of development with the creation of our Autonomous Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), a versatile multi-sensor platform designed to adapt to the unique needs of our customers, both for above and below the waterline sensors. The idea of the development was to create a USV that could adapt to nearly any sensor, mechanically, electrically, and in terms of software. In Bremerhaven, our USV embarked on its maiden survey mission, traveling over 16,000 meters in shallow waters, measuring water depths down to 30cm and capturing Side Scan Data. What sets our Autonomous USV apart? Here's a glimpse: 🎯 Live Mission Planning & Control: Seamlessly plan and execute missions in real-time, with the capability to stop and continue missions as needed. 📷 Live Camera Feed: Gain visibility with live camera feeds for enhanced monitoring. 📊 Live Depth & Side Scan Data: Access real-time depth and Side Scan Data. Control the sonar operations from the comfort of shore.  📡 Complete Data Transmission via mobile network: 4G/5G mobile network for seamless data transmission, with dual backup control links ensuring uninterrupted connectivity. 🔌 Open Source Software: ArduPilot, a customizable open-source autopilot software is used to control the USV. With ArduPilot, all data interfaces as well as custom functionality can be easily added as needed. 🛠️ Redundant Propulsion System: The redundant propulsion system ensures continuous maneuverability even if two out of the four thrusters fail. 🌐 Omnidirectional Movement: The USV can travel in each direction independent by its heading, offering unparalleled maneuverability.
