For the sixth year in a row, the Munich Security Conference relied on our state-of-the-art eAccess system to identify participants. 🛡️ Also at the 61st gathering of global decision-makers, security experts, and journalists to discuss pressing global issues last week, #Veridos proudly provided the technological backbone that ensures the integrity of this crucial summit: Conference attendees received eco-friendly access badges made from recycled plastic, featuring high-security RFID chips supplied by our partner NXP Semiconductors. These chips can only be read by authorized devices and contained a unique ID linked to the participant's identity, including their biometric data. As the participants entered the portals, the chips were read wirelessly and the faces of the participants were captured by cameras and compared to the stored biometric data. This process provides contactless and efficient access control with the highest level of security. We are very pleased with the renewed confidence placed in us by the #MunichSecurityConference ," says CEO Marc-Julian Siewert. Milestone reached: 40 million eIDs in Iraq issued! 🎉🇮🇶 We’re celebrating an exciting achievement: We are approaching the milestone of equipping all Iraqi citizens with their eID cards. This is a major step in modernizing identity management and securing the future of citizen services. The journey began in 2013, when we partnered with the Iraqi government to create a centralized electronic national civil register. Since then, we have been working together to build a robust and scalable system, including: 📍 320+ local offices operational for citizen registration 📊 95% of family books digitalized for secure, long-term archiving 🔒 Biometric data stored in the electronic national database After issuing the first eID in 2015, the project reached the 1 million mark just one year later. By 2020, over 18 million eIDs had been rolled out. Until today, this number has more than doubled and now surpasses 40 million. How do we secure one of the world’s leading security events? 🛡️ This question was at the focus of our day yesterday. Macau: a global trendsetter for ID security 🇲🇴🪪 At the heart of our mission is empowering governments worldwide to provide state-of-the-art ID documents to their citizens. Over the past years, we’ve partnered with the Macau Government to deliver another first-of-its-kind ID document: the world’s first ID to integrate the new Lumen ID Echo security feature – an enhanced version of our CLIP ID. Besides the Lumen ID Echo, the Macau Electronic ID (MEID) incorporates advanced security features like multicolor UV. The result is a pioneering, highly secure, and smart ID card with an innovative design for Macau’s citizens. Along with the new generation of ID cards, Macau also introduced a new Card Application system.
