The eagerly awaited VC 10 S Smoking Robot, VC 48 PLUS High Throughput Exposure System, and VC Cloud have safely arrived at the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease (SKLRD). 🛫 After a long journey, the system was carefully unpacked and assembled. >> New Milestone achieved: 📢 Largest In Vitro ALI Exposure System in Asia on Its Way! 😁 We are happy to ship a state-of-the-art in vitro inhalation system to the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease (SKLRD) at Guangzhou Medical University (GMU) in China. 👩🔬 This highly renowned institution will soon receive the VC 10 S Smoking Robot with the VC 48 PLUS High Throughput Exposure System, equipped with 56 exposure compartments along with a VC Cloud single droplet sedimentation exposure system. These advanced tools will significantly enhance SKLRD's in vitro research on lung diseases. 🔬 Established in 2007, SKLRD is a collaborative effort between the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health and the Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It remains the first and only state key laboratory in China dedicated to respiratory health. With a focus on cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches, SKLRD is at the forefront of tackling the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. 📆 Installation is set to begin in just two weeks. >> Air-Liquid-Interface (ALI) Workshop at RIVM: Advancing Standardization in Continuous Flow Exposure Systems 📢 On November 13, 2024, an insightful ALI workshop took place at RIVM in Bilthoven, bringing together 27 experts, scientists, and manufacturers to discuss methods and techniques for continuous flow in vitro exposure systems. 💡 This intensive, full-day session allowed us to define key parameters essential for consistent and effective ALI exposures, paving the way for a standardized approach across research groups. 🤝 A special thank you to Flemming R. Cassee and Jos van Triel (RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) for expertly organizing this event and to Jessica R. Murray, Ph.D. (US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)) for her valuable contributions from the USA!

>> CORESTA Congress 2024: Advancing Next Generation Product Evaluation Last week, we had the pleasure of participating in the “CORESTA Congress 2024”, organized by the “Cooperation Centre for Scientific Research Relative to Tobacco”. The event brought together over 500 delegates from more than 30 countries, including representatives from companies, research institutes, laboratories, associations, and regulatory bodies, all of whom gathered at the Edinburgh International Convention Centre. We were happy to connect and exchange ideas with many esteemed research partners, particularly in the field of in vitro inhalation research. Our collaborative poster with Alexis Technologies , which showcased the application of the AlveoliX AX12 breathing lung-on-chip for whole aerosols, received a great deal of positive attention.
