It was an important day at the Wolfsburg plant! The #Tayron, our new SUV all-rounder with up to seven seats, has gone into series production. ➡️ The Tayron scores with spacious passenger and luggage compartments, a maximum trailer weight of up to 2.5 tonnes and premium-class features such as massage seats*, and high-tech DCC chassis*. In the top versions “Elegance” and “R-Line”, it is also equipped with LED Plus headlights (including dynamic cornering light) and programmable 3D LED tail clusters. ⚙️ The Tayron is positioned in the important segment between the Tiguan and Touareg. Alongside the Golf, Tiguan and Touran, it is the fourth model to roll off the production line at our largest plant. ❔Did you know? Our Tiguan is available with two completely new plug-in hybrid drives. The all-electric range of the Tiguan eHybrid has increased from about 60 km to about 100 km. 🛣️ The battery can be charged with up to 11 kW (previously 3.6 kW) at a domestic AC wall box and with up to 50 kW at DC quick-charging stations when out and about. 🔋 #Volkswagen #Tiguan

With the launch of the fifth generation in 2003, the Golf introduced new versatility in body styles. In December 2004, Volkswagen debuted the Golf Plus, a 5-door compact car that bridged the gap between the #VWGolf and the #VWTouran. Its launch slogan said it all: ‘For everyone who needs just a little extra space’. ➕ The Golf Plus elevated the game, adding a ‘plus’ in more ways than one: Most notably, it stood 95 mm taller than its saloon counterpart, providing an additional 80 mm in seating height. 💺 The extra interior space and comfort were tangible: Practical highlights included the adjustable load floor and a split rear seat that slides forward by 160 mm, creating generous room in seconds.
