🌍 While we are active worldwide, the African markets have always been of particular interest to us. Building on positive experiences in 🇲🇼 Malawi, 🇹🇿 Tanzania, and 🇰🇪 Kenya, we are constantly seeking to expand our activities on the continent. 🤝 This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming delegates from 🇷🇼 Rwanda and 🇨🇮 Côte d'Ivoire to our headquarters in Weiterstadt. We introduced Wingcopter ✈️ and discussed partnership opportunities for both countries. Rwanda is well known to us, having won the 🏆 “Emergency Delivery Competition” at Lake Kivu in 2020 as part of the African Drone Forum. 📚 The delegation is currently on a study tour through Germany, organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Participants included representatives of governmental bodies, civil aviation, and local GIZ offices that are part of the “Triangular Cooperation for Digital Innovation Made in Africa” project, which is financed by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). ✨ We wish everyone an insightful rest of their trip and we look forward to further discussions! We experienced first-hand how fragile modern supply chains can be when we wanted to exhibit the Wingcopter 198 together with our partners from Siemens Healthineers at Medlab Middle East in Dubai (Medlab Series - Medical Laboratory Industry Forum).   A single mislabeling by the ground handler during the stopover triggered a series of delays and missed clearances, which ultimately prevented us from retrieving the shipment on time, despite our best efforts. As upsetting as this episode was - because the Wingcopter 198 was planned as an integral part of the exhibition stand - the delay did not put anyone's life at risk.   But now imagine urgent and critical medical supplies, such as lab samples - the costs of delay can be unmeasurable and potentially life-threatening. Together with our partners at Siemens Healthineers, we improve access to healthcare to ensure that life-saving treatments are not delayed.
