MILL AND FILL: The intelligent solution for networked road rehabilitation. Looking to make your road rehabilitation project more intelligent, profitable and environmentally compatible? The Wirtgen Group Production System MILL AND FILL provides intelligent solutions for networked road rehabilitation. MILL AND FILL explained in three steps: ✅ Process step 1: Milling – A Wirtgen cold milling machine mills off the damaged asphalt layer. Simultaneously, the Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker (WPT) determines the exact milling performance, milling volume and consumption values of the machine. All performance and consumption data are shown to the driver via the display and also sent to the machine operator by e-mail in an automatically generated report immediately upon completion of the milling work. ✅ Process step 2: Paving – A Vögele paver paves the new asphalt layer in the desired width, thickness and position true to profile. Additionally, all relevant parameters can be digitally documented thanks to both WITOS Paving Docu and the RoadScan temperature measuring system. The temperature data can also be transmitted to the Hamm rollers positioned downstream. ✅ Process step 3: Compaction – Hamm rollers compact the asphalt surface using the previously transmitted temperature data as orientation. Smart Doc further provides GPS-based verification of the compaction process, which is used for documentation and self-monitoring. The benefits of MILL AND FILL at a glance: • Milling efficiency • Cost efficiency • Resource conservation • Digitalization: From individual machines to networked road construction projects Find more Wirtgen Group Production Systems for networked job sites here: https://lnkd.in/g46AUbJJ
