Bravo, Pascal Viot! 🏆 Last night at the Arthur Awards in London at International Live Music Conference (ILMC), a member of our Festival Family received one of the greatest awards in our industry. Being a leading figure of the YES Group - Yourope Event Safety Group over many years, Pascal Viot, was honoured with the ‘Industry Champion Award’ called ‘The Unsung Hero’. Voted for by representatives from across the music and events industry, this is an outstanding recognition of the achievements and services of the Director of Safety, Security and Services at Switzerland's Paléo Arts & Spectacles (Paléo Festival Nyon) Nyon. A Greener Future has revealed the 2025 International AGF Award Winners at the Green Events & Innovations Conference. The Awards hosted by Madame Gandhi and A Greener Future (AGF) CEO Claire O’Neill celebrated the most innovative and outstanding festivals, events, venues, organisations, and individuals from worldwide events over the last 12 months at the Royal Lancaster London on 25th February. Among the winners were numerous YOUROPE members, whom we would like to congratulate on behalf of the association and GO Group (Green operations Europe)! Øyafestivalen (NO) took home the “International Greener Festival Award” for the highest scoring festival worldwide in the Greener Festival certification assessments. Paléo Arts & Spectacles (Paléo Festival Nyon) (CH) was presented with the “Community Action Award”. This award recognises those demonstrating outstanding social inclusion, action for unity and acceptance between people, and positive projects that provide benefit to others beyond the event itself. We Love Green (FR) was awarded with the Greener Catering Award. They implemented outstanding actions in this field. Food is such a significant issue for sustainability for its ethical and environmental impacts both globally and locally. The Greener Innovations Award went to Sziget Cultural Management Ltd. (HU) for the “Green Sziget Passport Games”. This category is dedicated to outstanding innovation, initiative or invention that has been a game changer in the green event space, that has disrupted business as usual or has given a new solution to help turn something problematic into something good. Øyafestivalen (NO) also received the Greener Transport Award. the sucessfully tackled one of the biggest impacts of many temporary events. Audience, production, crew and artists with our transport sector still staggeringly carbon heavy, who’s reducing their carbon footprint, facilitating green travel, and still delivering the party. #yourope #3f #futurefitfestivals #europe #GEI17 #ILMC37 #AGF #AGreenerFuture #AGreenerFestival

Our newest addition to the association is a real veteran of the German festival landscape. Over the past 30 years, jazzopen has developed into one of Europe's top 3 festivals for Jazz & Beyond. Every July, the big stars of the most diverse genres set the rhythm of the city of Stuttgart and celebrate the diversity of music together with over 60,000 visitors. From the jazz-heavy club stages to the main venue on the Schlossplatz, each artist is given the most appropriate stage. Newcomers and world stars do the honours. Since winning the LEA (Live Entertainment Award of the German music industry) in 2017 and 2018, the jazzopen has attracted worldwide attention. Superstars such as Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Lionel Richie, David Gilmour, Kylie Minogue, Jean-Michel Jarre, Christina Aguilera, Quincy Jones, John Legend, Grace Jones and Herbie Hancock create a highly emotional festival feeling. Its appeal extends far beyond the country's borders. Welcome to the YOUROPE family! 📷 Reiner Pfisterer & Bettina Meister #yourope #europe #festivals #3f #futurefitfestivals

We're on our way to London! Because it's International Live Music Conference (ILMC) week again. Traditionally, these days start with GEI! GEI stands for Green Events & Innovations and is organised by our member organisation A Greener Future . A day packed with everything that is new, important and forward-looking in the field of event sustainability. We would like to emphasise three highlights: 1) ‘Festival Biodiversity Impact Blueprint’ - a presentation of this year's Green Operation Award winner We Love Green's groundbreaking project by Marie Sabot, CEO. 2) ‘A Greener Tour Round V’ - featuring YOUROPE chairman and Director Festivals at Gadget Entertainment, Christof Huber. 3) ‘Festival Sustainability: Annual Report’ by Alex Fontoni (AGF) with juicy statistics and the key successes of festivals in Europe and beyond. The day concludes with the A Greener Festival Awards ceremony, hosted by AGF's very own Claire O'Neill. A number of YOUROPE member festivals are also nominated for their great achievements, too: Das Fest (DE) Northside (DK) OpenAir St. Gallen (CH) Oyafestivalen (NO) Paléo Festival (CH) Sziget festival (HU) We Love Green (FR) We're keeping our fingers crossed for you all! Three years ago today, Russia and Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. Since then, not only our friends and partners there have been living in a state of emergency. As much as we despise this shameful aggression, we admire the courage and strength with which the Ukrainian people have stood their ground. Throughout this time, YOUROPE and its members in particular have worked in close partnership to help provide humanitarian aid, give Ukrainian voices a stage and even visit the country for first-hand impressions. Together with UAME - Ukrainian Association of Music Events (Music Saves Ukraine), extraordinary and great things have been done that we all wish had never been necessary. To commemorate this day, we would like to share the words of our friend Vlad Yaremchuk, which he addressed to us on the occasion of receiving the Award for Excellence & Passion for him and the Music Saves Ukraine team at the European Festival Awards. They are words of urgency and encouragement that we want to echo. The current developments are fast and unpredictable. What remains, however, is that our support will continue to be needed. For humanitarian aid, for support in reconstruction, and to give those affected a voice or a platform. We call on you all to be a part of this, and not just today! If you would like to get involved, we would like to refer you to the many different possibilities that we have put together for you together with Music Saves Ukraine in our Festivals For Ukraine Toolkit. Here you can find this guide free to use, and you will also find the contact details for Vlad and the team. https://lnkd.in/eCF-wCrb We are by your side. Today and in the future. 💙💛 #Festivals #Festival #Yourope #MusicSavesUkraine #UAME #Ukraine #TakeAStand #festivals #europe #3f #futurefitfestivals

It was ten years ago in 2015 that YOUROPE formulated its mission statement and commitment to values such as openness, fairness, cultural diversity and peaceful dialogue, which is still valid today. This gave rise to TAKE A STAND, our initiative for social cohesion. In view of the current rapid developments in the political arena, the message of TAKE A STAND seems more important than ever these days: ‘It is time to take a stand for Europe, indeed for the whole world. To create a movement that promotes social cohesion in our society and fosters awareness and tolerance towards all cultures, genders, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, skin colours and origins. To motivate people to participate in political and social activities and to engage in peaceful dialogue, humanism, tolerance and mutual understanding to make the world a better place for everyone and for all of us.’ At the European Festival Awards, where we gathered last month on the eve of ESNS, some of the laudators and winners took the stage to emphasise the special role of our festival in upholding these values. Just like our Chairman Christof Huber, who addressed this topic in his opening speech, the following personalities, among others, spoke remarkable words: Mikołaj Ziółkowski – CEO, Alter Art (PL): “Let's make a new era, which will not be the era of people against freedom, but the era of freedom for everybody and a free world.” Vlad Yaremchuk - UAME - Ukrainian Association of Music Events (Music Saves Ukraine) & Music Saves Ukraine / Atlas Festival (UA): “We, as people who organize festivals, have really important platforms. Platforms that have been built on the power of love, unity, freedom and democracy. And now it’s our job to use these platforms to protect those values.” Stephan Thanscheidt - CEO, FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH (DE): “When I won this award last year for Hurricane Festival, I said that what we do is the social glue of society. But I think our job is not done yet.” Juhani Merimaa – Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Ruisrock (FI): “I think if we all do our work so that the festival movement is very strong in the future as well, it's the best way for us to do our duty for making the world whole, to make life in this world better.” We will work together with festivals across Europe and beyond to ensure that the values without which our events cannot be are alive. We will have to strengthen and defend them. Together with you. 📷 Jaap Kroon #europeanfestivalawards #yourope #europe #festivals #eurosonic #3F #esns #efas24 #takeastand #values

We are happy, because YOUROPE keeps growing. Say hi to our newest member from Italy: Flowers Festival! This event has been taking place for 10 years during June and July in the beautiful courtyard of Lavanderia a Vapore in Collegno, a historic building that was once part of a former psychiatric hospital, now completely renovated and revitalized. Over this decade of history, the festival’s stage has hosted the best of Italian and international music, establishing itself as a reference point in the music scene. In recent years, it has emerged as one of Northern Italy’s premier festivals, distinguished by its exceptional musical quality and carefully curated programming. The festival also stands out for its particular attention to environmental sustainability and the promotion of local gastronomy, offering an experience that goes beyond music alone. Benvenuti nella famiglia YOUROPE! #3f #futurefitfestivals #europe #italia #collegno #festivals #festival
