🚀 Driving Innovation for Global Health & Equality 🌍 Established by the United Nations in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a roadmap for addressing global challenges and achieving a more sustainable future by 2030. Among these, SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 5 - Gender Equality, and SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation are essential for ensuring health equity. 🤝 Yunus Social Business proudly collaborates with Reckitt on the Reckitt Access Accelerator program, a transformative initiative that empowers social enterprises that enable access to health and hygiene and create long-term, sustainable impact. By supporting innovative businesses focused on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), as well as sexual and reproductive health (SRH), the Access Accelerator delivers change and helps us reach the SDGs 3, 5, and 6. 🌍 To date, the program has successfully accelerated 18 social enterprises in Nigeria, South Africa, and Brazil. In its current phase, the Reckitt Access Accelerator is welcoming social entrepreneurs from Kenya and Nigeria, further broadening its reach and impact. Through this collaboration, YSB and Reckitt aim to implement sustainable solutions that create lasting change within communities by enabling grassroots initiatives to tap into the resources of Reckitt locally to develop strategies and pathways to scale, partnerships in the ecosystem, helping more people in the communities to live healthier lives. 👀 Stay tuned to discover incredible solutions in WASH and SRH!

🌍 WASH & SRH: A Vital Connection for Health and Equality 🚰 When we think about sexual & reproductive health, clean water and sanitation aren’t always the first things that come to mind—but they should be. The link between Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) is critical to improving health outcomes and promoting gender equality. When these two areas come together, they create real change in communities, especially for women and girls. Here are some examples of how: 💧 Dignity in Menstrual Health Without access to clean water and safe sanitation, managing menstruation becomes a major challenge, often leading to girls missing school or work. Ensuring proper WASH facilities means women can manage their health with dignity and participate fully in society. 🤱 Safer Childbirth In many regions, healthcare facilities lack proper sanitation, which can put mothers and babies at risk during childbirth. By improving WASH access in healthcare, we can reduce infections and improve maternal health outcomes. ⚖️ Supporting Gender Equality Women and girls are disproportionately affected by poor WASH access, often spending hours collecting water or managing hygiene in unsafe conditions. Integrating WASH with SRH initiatives helps address these inequalities and promotes more opportunities for education and empowerment. At YSB, we are proud of our partnership with Reckitt in the Reckitt Access Accelerator program, which currently focuses on enhancing WASH and SRH initiatives in Nigeria and Kenya. By addressing both areas, we can build healthier, more equitable communities and create lasting change. Stay tuned to learn more about these incredible initiatives! 🌍 In a world striving for profound change, the vision of a future defined by Three Zeros — zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero carbon net emissions — can only be realized through the power of social business. Inspired by Professor Muhammad Yunus, we understand that our shared goals are far more significant than any individual success. 🤝 At the heart of this movement is the belief that collaboration, rather than competition, holds the key to unlocking transformative solutions. We view similar organizations not as rivals, but as allies in a collective mission. By combining our strengths and resources, we can amplify our impact, drive innovation, and create a sustainable future for all. 💡 Imagine a world where social enterprises unite to tackle pressing challenges together—where every collaboration leads to meaningful change, fostering an ecosystem that nurtures creativity and resilience. In this space, there’s enough room for everyone to thrive, and together, we can build a new paradigm that prioritizes people and the planet. 🌟 By working hand in hand, we can turn the dream of a world with zero poverty, zero carbon emissions and zero unemployment into a tangible reality. Join us in this movement toward a brighter, more equitable future! ✨ Let’s hear from you! Does your company implement collaboration strategies for a bigger purpose? 🌍✨ Yunus Social Business is part of the G20 for Impact! ✨🌍 YSB is a partner organization of the G20 for Impact, a global coalition made up of 50 renowned organizations aimed at accelerating the transition to a new inclusive and sustainable economy. 🌱 📌 What is the G20 for Impact? With the G20 Summit approaching in November in Rio de Janeiro, this initiative aims to influence the global discussions of leaders. The G20 for Impact seeks to promote an economic model that addresses the climate crisis and socioeconomic inequalities, which are fundamental for the future of our planet. 📌 Why is it important? The G20 represents 85% of the global GDP, 75% of international trade, 80% of greenhouse gas emissions, and two-thirds of the world's population, meaning that the decisions made in this forum have a significant impact on the global economy. At a time when we face climate and social crises, it is crucial for leaders to adopt practices that ensure sustainable and inclusive development. 📌 Our Recommendations The coalition has already presented strategic recommendations that will be integrated into the G20 negotiations, covering three main themes: 1. Unlocking private capital 2. Transforming economic models 3. Creating a favorable institutional environment for the impact economy 📌 A Sustainable Future The G20 for Impact believes that collaboration between governments, businesses, and civil society is essential to ensure that the transition to a new economy is successful. By influencing global leaders, we aim to create a future where development is sustainable, inclusive, and equitable. #G20ForImpact #YunusSocialBusiness #Sustainability #Rio2024 #G20
