We are seeking a Business Development Engineer (m/f/x) in the field of Semiconductors for our offices in Munich or Nuremberg, or for remote work within Germany
Job Purpose
Enhance Murata's business opportunities by collaborating with IC manufacturers in Central Europe to integrate promotional products into system reference designs and within IC packages, primarily targeting automotive applications.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Comprehend the system architectures of reference designs from IC manufacturers and design houses, along with their emerging trends. Actively seek, acquire, and report information regarding new opportunities in line with product policies.
- Actively seek, obtain, and communicate information about new opportunities in alignment with product policies
- Market Murata's portfolio in accordance with the strategies established by the product divisions
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with IC manufacturers and design houses at all organizational levels, supported by regular visits in accordance with business unit guidelines.
- Develop, execute, and oversee a strategic account plan for each assigned key IC manufacturer and design house, encompassing target customers, market assessments, and competitor analysis
- Prepare, maintain, and meet the established SOP target plan within the designated IC manufacturer and design house network
- Generate regular reports, including visit and activity reports, monthly updates, and maintain the associated project documentation in the CRM system
- Collaborate and communicate with the Inside Sales team to provide sample support, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction
- Develop new products in collaboration with IC manufacturers and product divisions
Required Knowledge/Experience:
- University degree with a technical focus, Electrical Engineering or Electronics preferred
- Solid professional experience in Sales (3+ years)
- Proven business development knowledge and system level understanding
- Automotive applications and market knowledge
- Good product knowledge and promotion skills
- Advanced English skills in speaking and writing, including negotiation and presentation skills
- Good local language skills (depending of assigned IC maker and/or workplace location)
- Proficient in standard software (such as MS Office) as well as specialized business applications (e.g., CRM tools)
- Commercial and intercultural skills
- Basic knowledge in quality management
- Readiness to travel for business both within Europe and internationally
