Crispin Etherington from ULodging will be presenting "A Discussion on the challenges and solutions to student housing when studying abroad in the United States" Crispin intends to address some of the challenges and possible solutions faced by U.K. educational institutions and individual students in securing accommodation in the U.S. when studying on internships and study abroad programs. Challenges include the imbalance between supply and demand in quantitative terms, product type, and lease duration. Crispin has a background of over 35 years in commercial, residential, and educational real estate development in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. He received his B.Sc. in Real Estate Management from Liverpool John Moores University and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Prior to forming ULodging with Eugene Alpert, Ph. D., in 2020 he spent the previous eleven years providing student housing to scholars and students undertaking internships or participating in global studies programs. With housing being the constant variable in global studies programs, he foresaw the opportunity to create a platform that would streamline access to housing that met the specific needs of students when studying abroad. Day 2️⃣ of July #EESCplenary Today's first debate focused on the Traineeship directive and reinforced quality framework for traineeships with Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights Maxime Cerutti, Director of Social Affairs at BusinessEurope highlighted that there is need for #EUtraineeships and employers are actively investing in young people. However, we need to avoid creating unnecessary burden and not make it too difficult for employers to propose these opportunities. Our member Mira-Maria Danisman agreed that #EUtraineeships are a significant investment for companies, making learning opportunities available. By increasing the administrative and legal complexity, companies have less and less incentives and possibilities to provide traineeship opportunities. Also our member Jean-Michel Pottier stressed that a renewed legislative framework on #EUtraineeships should not become an additional administrative burden. This would be a counterproductive measure.

Not an ORDINARY 'I am thrilled to share' post🤷🏻♀️ First things first, I'm extremely elated to share my recent milestone: being recognised as the CONSULTANT of the month by 180 Degrees Consulting Gargi Student Branch This recognition takes me back to a time when I was at a crossroads, deciding between joining college societies and pursuing other opportunities. My entire first year was dedicated to contributing to TWO college societies that were my top priorities at that time. I was in a comfortable position and planned to continue with them for the rest of my undergrad journey 🤞🏻 However, I was taken aback by the unexpected closure of one of my societies a few months ago, as it was something I had never anticipated. At that point, many of my friends grew curious as to why I wasn't applying to any other societies in my second year. Here are my two reasons- 📌 If college life is an ocean of opportunities, societies are just one species of fish. If you are planning to dive in, make sure you explore other species before you leave 🐠 📌 Joining new college societies in your second or third year comes with added responsibilities and the challenge of settling in. While this is a PERSONAL choice, I strongly recommend planning it carefully to manage other commitments such as academics, exam preparations and internships✍🏻 Cut forward to TODAY - I'm currently part of just one society and contribute to the best of my abilities in the following capacities - -Member of Client and Partnership team -Member of Research and Analysis Team -Member of a Consulting Project -Involved in other supporting activities While it wasn't easy to resist falling into the trap of FOMO a few months ago, this recognition makes me believe - I've come a long way! Juggling other inevitable commitments, holding on to one society was one of the BEST decisions ever.... Whatever happens, HAPPENS for a reason✨ #College #Society #Achievement #DU

Jahrgangs die Gelegenheit, an einem Vortrag von EURES (European Employment Services) teilzunehmen.
