This video showcases footage captured using a vintage Soviet lens from 1985, the Helios-40-2 85mm f1.5. The recording took place on a full-frame 35mm cinema camera, specifically the Z CAM E2-F6, in 4K H.265 Z-log2 format. The initial footage was then transformed to Rec709 using the Zlogcolor plug-in within Davinci Resolve. Basic color correction was applied, adjusting exposure levels (from 60 IRE to a well-lit skin tone, or 40 IRE to a skin tone in the shadows) and ensuring color balance. Following the basic corrections, the footage underwent color grading using the Dehancer plugin. The chosen film profile was Kodak Vision3 50D, paired with the print profile Kodak 2383.
