🎤 In his talk „Circular economy in the construction sector: How a material register in NRW can contribute to greater transparency”, Dr. Bergmann shows us how important a functioning circular economy is for the real estate industry to work sustainably in the future, protecting the climate and conserving resources. The documentation of materials and components, whereby buildings become material banks, is an opportunity to save primary resources and significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The key to this is a ‘building resource passport’, which contains digital information on where, what, how much and in what quality is used. In order to develop and implement a regional raw materials strategy, it is necessary to consolidate information in a material register.
