Microorganisms – macro solutions! We are thrilled to share that Ghent-based Zymofix has secured € 𝟮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 to advance their innovative 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. This investment, led by HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds with participation from The Nest Family Office and VP Capital, will enable Zymofix to scale their groundbreaking fermentation technology. Minister-President Matthias Diependaele met with Bavaria’s State Minister for European and International Affairs Eric Beißwenger on 21 November. 🤝The Flemish Coalition Agreement stipulates that Flanders will further strengthen and deepen cooperation with Germany and several of its states, including Bavaria. 🌍Cooperation in semiconductors and hydrogen was one of the topics of discussion. It also became clear that the two regions can learn from each other when it comes to startup mentoring. 🏭 In addition, Flanders and Bavaria want to remain strongly committed to and weigh in on the EU agenda, especially on industry policy. Both regions agree that there is a great need for investment in European competitiveness and see the EU as the guardian of a level playing field. We must also evolve from a green deal to an industry deal while respecting the climate targets that are best diversified according to the regional (economic) context. #flanders #international

Meet Flanders' finest in space technologies!

At last year's Circular Valley Forum in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister President Hendrik Wüst and Flemish Minister President Jan Jambon agreed the first cross-border cooperation in the field of the circular economy. This year, the new Minister-President of the Flemish Government, Matthias Diependaele, put Flanders on the map as a leader in circular economy and used the forum for numerous discussions with important partners in politics and industry, including Nathanael Liminski, State Minister for Federal, European and International Affairs and Head of the State Chancellery of NRW, Markus Bangen, CEO at duisport - Duisburger Hafen AG and Inge Hofkens, COO Multimetal Recycling at Aurubis. Together with Circular Flanders, OVAM, essenscia and the Vertretung von Flandern in Deutschland, we are looking forward to actively supporting both regions in the areas of (1) the chemical industry, (2) battery recycling and (3) building materials in the transformation towards a resource-efficient and climate-friendly economic region.
