Time for Lunch! 🥗 Time to Invest! 🇳🇱 For our colleague Susann Martens, the answer can only be YES: Yesterday, together with Jerome Hull, Anke Siegmeier and Edgar Snelders, they demonstrated the advantages and good investment opportunities that exist for Dutch companies in Thuringia. Edgar Snelders gave the more than 20 entrepreneurs first-hand insights at the best lunch time, as the Dutch company Neways Electronics International NV has already had a branch in #Erfurt for several years and is aware of the short distances and the density of companies and knowledge that exist in Thuringia, particularly in the field of electronics and semiconductor technology. Today, the trip of our #Thuringian delegation continues in Eindhoven at the Brainport Campus, the Holst Centre and with a visit to the company Smart Photonics. Thus afternoon the German-Dutch HighTech Forum Provider Futter opportunities for Dutch-Thuringian Cooperation. This is gonna be good!😎 This week, together with students from the Ilmenau University of Technology, we kicked off a somewhat different kind of cooperation: During the winter semester, 24 students from several countries will develop practical communication concepts that we can use to raise awareness of Thuringia as an investment location for companies from the USA and the UK.   The seminar began this week with an initial briefing by our colleagues Susann Martens and Damir Agic. Over the coming weeks, the students will slip into the role of six competing “young PR agencies” and develop professional communication concepts for us. We are excited to see exactly what the young scientists have to say and look forward to working and exchanging ideas with them. Therefore, the use of sustainable materials plays an increasingly important role in textile manufacturing. To research on such materials and to bring them to market maturity, the TITK e.V. in Rudolstadt-Schwarza is receiving nearly 4.5 million euros in funding to establish the "Demonstration and Innovation Center for Textile Circular Economy" (DICE). A key focus of the research in Rudolstadt-Schwarza is on textiles made from cellulose sourced from wood, hemp or recycled textiles. Notably, the production of fibers from hemp pulp, which TITK has established under the #Lyohemp® brand, can contribute to regionalizing textile value chains. 7-Tesla-MRI - What may sounds to the non-expert like the latest space capsule for a journey to Mars is making the hearts of brain researchers in Jena beat faster.👩⚕️ 👨⚕️ The 7-Tesla MRI is a state-of-the-art imaging machine that is used for research projects at the German Center for Mental Health at Jena University Hospital (UKJ). Its strong magnetic field enables enhanced brain imaging. The investment of 10.1 million euros was fully funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the REACT-EU initiative. 💬 Wolfgang Tiefensee "With the 7 Tesla MRI, the UKJ is setting new standards in medical research and the development of innovative treatment approaches. This investment is therefore also a testimony to the Free State's commitment to strengthening the healthcare system and promoting innovative research.
