Die MEDICA ist die größte Veranstaltung für die Medizinbranche weltweit. Schon seit über 40 Jahren ist sie eine feste Größe im Kalender aller Experten. Die einmalige Stellung der MEDICA lässt sich an vielen Merkmalen messen: Zum einen ist die Veranstaltung die weltweit größte Medizinmesse überhaupt – mit einigen Tausenden Ausstellern aus mehr als 50 Nationen in den Messehallen! Außerdem würdigen jedes Jahr herausragende Persönlichkeiten aus Wirtschaft, Forschung und Politik das erstklassige Event mit ihrer Anwesenheit – selbstverständlich neben zehntausenden nationalen und internationalen Experten und Entscheidern aus der Branche wie Sie als Fachbesucher. Die Fachmesse ist in sieben Hauptproduktkategorien gegliedert: Bildgebung und Diagnostik/ Medizintechnik, Laborausstattung, Diagnostika, Physiotherapie / Orthopädietechnik, Bedarfs- und Verbrauchsartikel, IT-Systeme und IT-Lösungen, Medizinische Dienstleistungen und Verlagserzeugnisse. Fester Bestandteil neben der Fachmesse sind die "MEDICA Foren und Konferenzen". Die MEDICA bietet kostenlose Foren, verteilt in den Messehallen, sowie interessante Sonderschauen und Aktionen. Hierzu zählen MEDICA CONNECTED HEALTHCARE FORUM mit MEDICA START-UP COMPETITION, MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM, MEDICA ECON FORUM, MEDICA TECH FORUM und MEDICA LABMED FORUM. Zu den Konferenzen gehören der Deutsche Krankenhaustag (die führende Kommunikationsplattform für Entscheider in deutschen Kliniken), die MEDICA MEDICINE + SPORTS CONFERENCE und die International Conference on Disaster and Military Medicine (DiMiMED). Ein weiteres Highlight ist der MEDICA START-UP PARK, wo junge innovative Unternehmen die Trends der Zukunft in der Medizintechnologie präsentieren. Die MEDICA 2024 findet vom 11.-14.
