Jens-Peter Lux, Managing Director of DMT, the host of the MiningForum, comments on this year's motto "For a #Sustainable Future". In view of global challenges such as climate change, energy transition, digitsation and scarcity of resources, he emphasises the paramount importance of sustainable raw materials. We must work together to find solutions that enable us to make the raw materials sector more sustainable. This means promoting responsible mining practices, protecting the environment, respecting the rights of local communities, educating civil society about necessities and dependencies, excellent corporate governance, and sharing the value we create in a fair way. The #MiningForum provided a platform for exchange between international experts from politics, business and science. Jens-Peter Lux looks forward to the MiningForum 2026 and calls for sustainable action until then. #ESG #energytransition

As MiningForum ends, work towards sustainability in mining is just starting. “Exploration methods for natural and raw materials have always stood at the beginning of every mining process. That´s why innovation for the exploration and monitoring of georesources are of crucial importance for transformation of mining towards sustainability“, said Olaf Alisch from Verband Bergbau, Geologie und Umwelt e.V, who hosted the session on exploration earlier today. And just like exploration stands at the beginning of every project, let #MiningForum be the impulse for the international mining and raw materials community to tackle the future tasks of mining. We express our deep gratitude to all participants, experts, speakers, panelists, exhibitors and media partners for this great exchange of knowledge. What is the impulse you´re taking with you to include into your line of work in the mining and raw materials sector? Please save the date for the next edition of MiningForum: on June 18-19, 2026, we will gather again to re-evaluate our ideas and create further progress towards a sustainable future. MiningForum 2026 🗓️ Date: 18.-19. June, 2026 📍 Location: Estrel Hotel, Berlin Stay tuned for some reviews and highlights of this year´s MiningForum in the following weeks and months. Thank you everybody and Glückauf! 📷 Julia Merkel #miningnews #miningforum #futuremining #sustainability
