On his last visit at the Munich Orphanage Konstantin Sixt asked the children what their wishes would be for the upcoming wintertime. They all agreed that they would like nothing more, than to have new sleighs to run down the little hill on the premises of the "Münchner Waisenhaus". ❄ Now just in time for the upcoming winter season, Konstantin Sixt and his wife Noni surprised the kids and the head of the Munich orphanage Katrin Breu with numerous sleighs. 🎁Of course all the kids are now eagerly awaiting the snow for the perfect winter sleigh ride in their backyard. #dryinglittletears #reginesixtkinderhilfestiftung #charity #socialresponsibility

Thanks to the generous support of SIXT employees, we were able to bring joy to many child and youth welfare organizations in Munich with the SIXT Wishtree campaign 2024.🧡 Nearly 300 gifts were brought to seven institutions the week before Christmas to be handed over then on Christmas Eve. A big "Thank you" for the numerous participation and support! 🥰 And our Christmas Elves were also active in many more cities around the world. Wait for our Update! From supporting local charities to creating unforgettable experiences for children, these projects showcase the true essence of community and compassion during the holidays. 🧡 SIXT UK hosted a festive Christmas day, bringing employees together for a charitable cause in support of the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice. 🧡 Organizing a fun-filled Christmas event, SIXT Uzbekistan aimed to bring smiles and excitement to the little ones, ensuring that this time of year was memorable for all. 🧡 SIXT Croatia also partnered with the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation to create a magical experience for 20 children in Zagreb. The children, aged 3 to 6, enjoyed a trip to the zoo, learning about animals with the guidance of zookeepers. We have been playing Santa Claus for the last couple of days in hospitals and care facilities and have been handing out little treats to the children who unfortunately can't be at home with their families during this Christmas season. 🎅 Dedicated SIXT team members across the SIXT corporate countries have been engaged and brought smiles to the children. In Munich, Regine Sixt and her daughters-in-law Andrea Sixt and Noni Sixt visited the clinics personally and surprised the little patients. 🧡 It was so much fun surprising the little ones and seeing their shining eyes, when we handed over the presents. But even more important than presents is that they feel better soon. 🎄 Christmas magic & team spirit - our “'#DRYINGLITTLETEARS Day”! 🎄 "Last week, I and my team enjoyed our “DRYING LITTLE TEARS Day”, a wonderful initiative of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation. Together with the kids, we baked delicious Christmas cookies—three delicious varieties! 🍪✨ The kids' shining eyes and the cheerful atmosphere delighted us all. Of course, everyone was allowed to take their home-baked delicacies home with them—a little piece of Christmas happiness. It was a wonderful day that not only warmed hearts but also brought our team closer together. Strengthening the team & doing good - that's Christmas the way we love it! ❤️ The 103er, a facility for open child and youth work run by Kreisjugendring München-Stadt, has offered numerous leisure activities for children, teenagers, and young adults since 1965. It was the perfect place for a day full of warmth and Christmas spirit. A children's aid project proposed by our co-worker Romina - #TeamOrange4Children🧡 The "Flotte Waldkäfer" daycare center in Rostock looks after 36 children in the day nursery from 0-3 years and 60 children in the kindergarten from 3-6 years - all together under the motto "Living with children". We supported their therapy room for resting and experimenting with a light projector, illuminated wall mirror, and a reading and writing room with craft workstations and shelves. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation is happy to be a partner of the One Team project of FC Bayern Basketball! 🏀 🧡 One Team is a Euroleague Basketball project under which brand all teams in the EuroLeague and EuroCup organize various social activities. This season, FC Bayern Basketball is working together with the Munich orphanage Münchner Waisenhaus and the youth welfare organization Just M and organizing training sessions for children and young people at BMW Park every two weeks. Together we have further exciting activities planned for the One Team this season and are very happy to discover new ballers within this group of kids. The SIXT team "Talent Acquisition" spent a great day at Johanniter Haus Sausebraus in Emming, flexing their muscles while whitening a very green gym and creatively changing the semi-green wall in the butterfly group's common room, complete with decorative elements. The children's shining eyes and great gratitude at the site made the work of our #teamorange easy and they will be happy to come back! We're excited to support the CBM Christoffel-Blindenmission in Deutschland in making schools in Kenya more accessible for children with disabilities! 🚸🏫 Before the renovation of several schools in Kakuma, Kalobeyei and surrounding regions, children often were taught outside of dilapidated buildings. Often enough children with disabilities had no access to schools. We provide the necessary ramps, adapted door openers, handrails, and accessible sanitary facilities to complete the renovations. CBM's mission is to break the cycle of poverty and disability, providing better quality of life and equal opportunities for those in need.
