In his interview with Wirtschaftsforum Managing Director Dr. Thorge Brünig gives his view on social values which make Technoform very specific and his view on the future of the company. Q: What social values are particularly important to you in your day-to-day business? A: "The philosophy of the founding families still has a strong impact today. An important part of our corporate culture is to create a balance between the interests of our customers, the company and our employees. We rely on flat hierarchies and attach great importance to a pleasant working atmosphere. We regularly offer workshops in which our employees are trained on topics such as sustainability, communication and quality. We live these values every day, which is also evident in the way we integrate new trends such as hybrid working models and work-life balance into our company." Q: How do you see the future direction of the company? A: "Technoform Kunststoffprofile GmbH has developed strongly in recent years and, depending on the material, is one of the leading suppliers in the market for tailor-made plastic profiles, particularly for highly technical plastics such as PPS or polyamide with a high filler content." We are happy to welcome a new team member! Did you meet him already?

Meet the team: So you have a degree 🎓in Sustainability Management from the Universität Kassel - and then what? 🥼 My personal choice: the plastics industry. It may sound like a contradiction at first, but that's exactly what I find so exciting about my new role as Sustainability Manager. I got to know the company when I worked as a student trainee at Technoform during my studies. Now, after almost three years, I am able to apply my knowledge and make a concrete contribution to the transformation. The challenges are varied: From complying with legal requirements and minimizing our carbon footprint, to how we can use more sustainable materials and produce more energy-efficiently. Plastics and the circular economy? Absolutely possible - but it takes time, new ideas and customers who want to walk the walk with us. It also needs more players who have the courage to try new materials and see us as development partners. 🤖What drives me is the freedom to create. I can create new structures, help optimise processes and develop sustainable solutions - not only internally, but also for our customers. I am aware that the path is not linear, especially in our industry.
