    🚆 Autonomes Fahren: Der nächste Schritt für die Mobilitätswende! 🤖 In der Mobilitätsbranche befinden wir uns in einem tiefgreifenden Wandel. Digitalisierung, Fachkräftemangel und die steigenden Anforderungen an Nachhaltigkeit und Effizienz fordern uns heraus – Aufgaben, denen wir uns aber aktiv stellen! 💡 Autonomes Fahren als Chance für den ÖPNV  Mit unserer ersten Erprobung für autonomes Fahren setzen wir bei der Rheinbahn AG ein Zeichen für die Zukunft des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs. Die Technologie hat in den letzten Jahren enorme Fortschritte gemacht – nun ist es an der Zeit, zu lernen, wie wir sie sinnvoll für unsere Fahrgäste einsetzen können. ➡️Flexibilität und bessere Anbindung: Autonome Fahrzeuge können Lücken im Mobilitätsnetz schließen – insbesondere in Randzeiten und Gebieten mit geringerer Nachfrage. ➡️Barrierefreiheit: Die präzise Technologie, die wir bei den autonom fahrenden Fahrzeugen einsetzen, kann helfen, den Zugang zum ÖPNV noch inklusiver zu gestalten. So kann beispielsweise im autonomen Bus ein Rollstuhlfahrer mitgenommen werden. Wir wissen, dass neue Technologien auch Herausforderungen mit sich bringen. Fragen zur Integration in unser bestehendes Angebot, zur Cybersicherheit oder zu gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen müssen beantwortet werden. Deshalb setzen wir auf eine enge Einbindung aller Beteiligten – von Fahrgästen über Mitarbeitende bis hin zu Politik und Verwaltung. Technologie ist kein Selbstzweck – sie muss sinnvoll in den Alltag integriert werden. Unser Ziel ist es, die Potenziale des autonomen Fahrens für den ÖPNV nutzbar zu machen und so die Mobilitätswende aktiv zu gestalten. 🔜 Erste Erprobung an der Messe Düsseldorf  Bei der Messe Xponential Europe kommende Woche können Besucher:innen erste Einblicke in unser Pilotprojekt gewinnen. Eine 1,5 km lange Teststrecke gibt uns die Möglichkeit, wertvolle Erkenntnisse zu sammeln, die wir in zukünftige Entwicklungen einfließen lassen.   • This week, STADTWERK AM SEE and we had the privilege of hosting colleagues from vhh.mobility Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV), Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund GmbH, RHEIN-MAIN Mobility Consult GbR, Donau-Iller-Nahverkehrsverbund-GmbH (DING), SWEG Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-GmbH, Transdev, Reutlinger Stadtverkehr and VMOBIL AT, in Friedrichshafen to experience the #RABus shuttle in action.   The discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges of implementing an Autonomous Transport System (ATS) into the public transport of a city. From the development and validation of our #ADstack to the deployment process, the implementation into the infrastructure, every conversation was a step forward in shaping the future of mobility.   The highlight of the day? Experiencing the shuttle navigate narrow streets, roundabouts, and other complex scenarios with ease. We’re excited to share our journey in bringing autonomous mobility to life. Ready to take the next step? Today, Baden-Württemberg’s Minister of Transport, Winfried Hermann, shared the exciting news that the project will continue through mid-2025 in Friedrichshafen. This extension allows us to fine-tune our autonomous driving (AD) system under real-world conditions while offering ZF Mobility Solutions tailored engineering, service and mobility solutions to our partners.   • ⏰ Countdown to Test Operation! The #RABus project for automated public traffic in mix operations is close to the official start of test operations in the cities of Friedrichshafen and Mannheim on Oct 28. We are proud that ZF Mobility Solutions has pushed the development of autonomous shuttles using ZF Group's cutting-edge technologies to make the RABus Shuttles fit for automated operations with test passenger transport. This has also been recognized by the Federal Motor Transport Authority by granting ZF as one of the first companies in Germany with the Level 4-testing approval.
