The Fall Guy: The Extended Cut is coming to Peacock with Universal Pictures’ and 87North’s film getting a premiere date on the streamer.
Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt star in the action-comedy film, which will drop on Peacock starting August 30.
The extended cut on the stream will feature 20 additional minutes with scenes not in the film’s cut released in theaters earlier this year.
David Leitch directed the film inspired by the 1980s ABC series created by Glen A. Larson, which starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers.

In the film adaptation, Gosling takes on the role of Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who is drafted back into service after a near-career-ending accident when Tom Ryder (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson), the star of a mega-budget studio movie goes missing.
The Fall Guy also stars Hannah Waddingham, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu, and Winston Duke.
While promoting the movie for its theatrical release, Gosling said The Fall Guy was a “love letter to the stunt community,” saying during the premiere’s screening, “They are the hardest working people in show business. This movie is just a giant campaign to get stunts an Oscar.”
He continued, “We are the face of these films, but the crews really make the movies, and this is a love letter to them.”
In The Fall Guy, Blunt is Gosling’s romantic interest, and the actor called her the “best partner” in creating the film. Although the director said the film was not based on anyone in particular, Gosling acknowledged that Leitch and his wife Kelly McCormick’s “love story was our North Star throughout this film.”
